"Great, your wound is healing nicely, which makes me and all the other nurses on this floor very happy." Dr. O'Donnell said before putting the huge bandage back on my chest, "It looks like Kairi is very happy too," She said, as we both looked over to see Kairi with a huge smile on his face and jumping up and down.

"So, can I go to school? Or do I still have to 'heal'?" I asked as Kairi passed me my shirt back, "Well, aren't you both on paternity leave?" She asked as she took her gloves off and threw them out.

"Yeah, but I thought it was only Kairi who has to stay home because he pushed Mal out and he's still getting better," I shrugged, I felt Kairi punch my shoulder and give me a stern look. "What?" I asked, "The nice thing to do is stay home with me to take care of Malachi," He told me, I scoffed as I put my shirt over my head, "You barely let me hold him," I said, struggling a bit to lift my arms through my sleeves.

"You can't even carry your backpack yet, how do you expect me to trust you with holding a 7-pound baby, and he's getting older so he's getting heavier, and I don't know if your strong enough," Kairi told me, I looked over at the doctor.

"Well, Mattia if you're not strong enough to carry your bag yet, then Kairi should help you when your carrying Malachi," She told me. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my lap.

"Take it one at a time, but it is a little concerning that you can't carry your backpack yet." She said, "I can, it's just hard to," I replied in a mumbled tone. "Don't be too hard on yourself." She patted my back and typing something on her tablet. "Yeah, whatever," I said as I hopped off the hospital bed. He picked up Malachi's car seat before I could and held it with two hands.

"Bye Dr. O'Donnell," Kairi said as he turned around and waved goodbye, "You should let me hold him as practice," I said as I turned to look at him. "I got it," Kairi shrugged, smiling when we both heard Malachi grunt and reach for Kairi's hand, "You shouldn't be carrying any heavy things either," I told him, "The doctor said I can carry the baby, what difference is it if he's just in his car seat," Kairi said.

"You had a baby just four weeks ago, your not fucking Hulk Kairi," I told him, "And you just got out of the hospital two weeks ago. I'm not gonna let you carry something heavy." He said fixing the blanket that was on Malachi.

"And don't curse just because you're angry because you can't carry anything. Calm your ass and then come talk to me." Kairi told me, turning around and leaving. "Kairi!" I yelled before following after him. "Hurry up, Malachi's getting cranky. I gotta feed him." Kairi said, waiting by the car door. "Feed him in the car," I said, unlocking it and opening my door.

"You know he doesn't like chest feeding in the car idiot," Kairi said, bucking Malachi in his car seat and putting the extra seatbelt on. "Why are you being mean to me?" I asked as Kairi closed Mal's door and sat down in the back. "Because you're acting like a little girl on her period, pussy." He said, buckling his seatbelt in and folding his arms. "And why are you sitting in the back?" I asked, looking in the mirror to see him.

"Because your annoying me and I don't wanna be near you," Kairi replied before Malachi started crying. "Hurry up and drive, he's hungry," Kairi said, before trying his best to calm Mal down. "Yeah papas, yeah, I know, we're going home now," He said. I sighed before putting the keys in the ignition and looking behind me to check for any cars.

"Why do you have a stick up your ass?" I asked with a full mouth of cereal, before continuing to eat my fruity pebbles. "Because you made him upset. I told you to drive back and you were being annoying and now he won't stop crying." Kairi said, trying to get Malachi to eat. "Here, let me try," I said as I stood up and held my arms out.
