"Are you sure you're alright to go to school today?" My mom asked as she helped me walk down the house steps, "Yeah, I'll be fine...will you be alright?" I asked her. "Marco's at his friend's this week, so he won't be home at all." She told me, and I nodded as I leaned in, hugging her tightly, "I love you, mama," I said, I heard her laugh a bit as she wrapped his arms around my waist, "I love you more." She kissed my cheek. "I'll see you after school, bye ma." I said, I stopped hugging her then walked down the sidewalk, blowing her a kiss before going to the bus stop.

"Are you okay?" Alejandro asked as he walked behind me. I shrugged as I rubbed my jaw, "Did you tell Kairi who hit you?" Ale asked, walking beside me, "Leave me alone Ale." I said, "Whatever, you gotta tell one of us, you'll be fine." Ale told me as he patted my shoulder. "Yeah, whatever." I shrugged then walked down the hall past Ale to my locker, I saw Cynthia waiting with a smile on her face, "Hey C." I smiled then put my combination in. "Hey, what the fuck happened to your face?" She asked, pointing to the bruise on my face.

"Just...something..." I said as I opened my locker door and put a few books in my bag for my morning classes. "Shit, it looks like it hurts." C said as she ruffled my hair. "So...you heard about the dance?" She asked, and I nodded. "Are you going?" She asked with a small smile, and I started blushing, I know exactly where this is going. Hopefully, it's not what I think it is and she's just asking if I know if Ale is going. "Oh...yeah probably. I think Ale, Kairi, Robert, Roshaun, and Alvaro are going to." I replied as I closed my locker and carefully swung my bag around my back, "That's cool....are you gonna go with anyone?" She asked as she walked beside me as I walked down the hall to my first period class.

"Uh...other than the boys, but other than that, nobody." I shrugged, and she nodded with a smile on her face. "Okay, cut the shit..do you wanna go together?" She asked, putting her hands on my shoulder which stopped me from walking. "Uh...yeah. I'd love to." I smiled shyly with a nod. She smiled, leaning up and kissing me. Then walking off. I blushed with a smile on my face as I rubbed my lips.

"How many days did he miss?" Alvaro asked as we got to the cafeteria and sat down at our regular table, "A whole week, just at home and recovering," I told Alvaro, taking my phone out of my pocket and going on iMessages, "Really? I didn't think he would need that many days," Alvaro said, Alvaro went to Florida to visit some family so he doesn't know much about what happened with Mattia and everything. "Yeah, well, I'm sure he just needed some rest because y'know..he broke some ribs and he was really hurt. But I'm just glad he's okay now," I told him as I took my portable charger out, "Did he say like...who did it-" Alvaro quieted down as he turned his attention to his phone.

I turned around to see Mattia, Alejandro, and Roshaun walking over, Robert walked over a little after, "Really, you gotta keep talking about it?" Mattia asked as he threw his bookbag on his chair. "Vera was just asking, so I told him," I shrugged, giving Mattia a small smile, "Stop telling people shit that isn't real, just stay out of it." Mattia told me, I rolled my eyes as I turned back around, sinking down into my chair, "Hurry up! There selling tickets now." Robert said as he looked through his bag for 5 dollars, "Now?" Mattia asked, and Robert nodded before running to the front of the cafeteria to where they were selling tickets for the dance. "Vera, buy me one," I passed him 5 dollars then went back on my phone.

"Here," Alvaro passed me the small yellow ticket, I thanked him and put the ticket in my back pocket. "Kai, want me to get you lunch?" Vera asked, I shook my head quickly before going back on my phone and looking through Instagram. "You sure? Your not hungry?" Vera asked, I shook my head once again, he sighed then walked off.
