"Malachi! Share the ball with your little brother!" I yelled, seeing the two boys fight over my soccer ball. "Boys, come here!" Kairi shouted, Mal took Akio's hand as they ran over. "Hi mama," Mal said, a mischievous smile on his face.

"You have to share the ball with your brother, that's not nice to hog it. Nobody likes a 'ball-hog'...share. Okay?" I asked, signing to Akio, he nodded, fixing his little glasses. "Okay, go away, and be nice." I signed, Akio nodded, giving me a thumbs-up before both of them ran away towards the flowers.

"They're so adorable." I said, looking over at Kairi.

"If only they weren't bad as fuck," Kairi rolled his eyes. "I thought Malachi was supposed to mean angel." He snickered as Milo and Pequeño ran over, out of breath and running to their water bowls.

"Nah, they're good, just a little competitive when it comes to soccer." I shrugged, wrapping my arms around the short boy. "Our house is like a friggin' zoo." Kairi sighed, leaning his head back on my chest.

"What do you mean?" I laughed.

"We have three animals, then we have those two beasts," Kairi said, pointing at Mal and Akio who were throwing up yelling signs at each other.

"Mal!" I yelled, making Mal turn his head to look over at me, "What?" He signed, "You need to be nice," I signed back. He huffed and rolled his eyes, kicking the ball towards Akio.

"Yeah, but Tito is chill, he doesn't bother anyone," I told him, kissing his cheek. "You named him after a vodka, he's bound to make some trouble when he gets older." Kairi giggled.

"Yeah, probably." I shrugged before hearing my phone ding, quickly reaching in my pocket and checking my notifications. "Shit..." I mumbled, "Hmm? What is it?" He asked, "Fucking Andy, saying that they're gonna close it down." I said, turning my phone back off. "What-your dad's restaurant?" He asked, turning around to look at me, I nodded.

"Yeah, they said 'it's just taking up space.' fucking idiots, when my dad was alive that place was amazing. It's been in our family for a long ass time. And now they just wanna close it because someone died." I said, putting my phone back in my pocket.

"Did you try finding any buyers? Maybe they could take it over, and hire you," Kairi said, "No, I don't want anyone to take it over. That's my dad's restaurant, it'll always be his restaurant, no matter what anyone says. He's run it since he was 18, and now people are just gonna come in and take it because they want to. No-no, they're not doing that. If they understood the backstory, they wouldn't be trying to shut it down and turn it into some fucking stupid coffee shop!" I yelled.

I stopped when I looked down and saw both my boys standing there, looking at me like I was insane. "Are you okay?" Akio signed to me, grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

"Yeah, sorry baby, papi is fine." I signed back. "Why they are shutting down Lilos rest-ur-ant?" Mal asked, signing so Akio would know what we were talking about.

Akio was born with a lot of hearing problems. The doctors all said he would be fine and he could probably use hearing aids. But those never helped or even worked.

Poor baby had to have surgery where he got tubes in his ears, but that did not work. Not even a bit, if anything, it put Akio through more pain. Kairi blames himself every day for it, he says it's his fault Akio can't enjoy life or listen to music, he hates himself. And has thought it was his fault ever since Akio was born. Just two minutes was all it took for Kairi to feel like a failed parent.
