Part Twenty-Six

Marie sat with Mitch as he did his pictures.  Marie loved how good her son was at drawing.
Dylan finally came into the living room and sat down on the sofa behind Marie. He looked down watching what Mitch was doing.
"Sweetie what are you drawing?" Marie said.
"That's me, that's you and that's daddy". Mitch said.
Dylan looked over her shoulder and smiled at the picture.

The time soon went quick and another day had ended. No one had heard anything from the lady doing the DNA. Dylan also hadn't heard anything from his manager.
Marie thought this was odd. But Dylan didn't.
She wasn't getting her own way anymore , even though she had no idea that Marie and Dylan knew what she had been up to. They was keeping this information to them selfs until the time when they could confront her.
Dylan also thought about taking a test a lie detector test to prove to Marie that he was instead telling the truth.
He would speak to Marie about this when Mitch was a sleep in bed, that night.

Marie soon got dinner sorted and Mitch put on his favourite pjs. Making Marie smile at him. Dylan was playing with Mitch. Which they seemed to both enjoy.

The two of them playing with Marie watching them. Mitch jumping all over his father.
"Careful try and not get him to excited as he needs to go to bed soon". Marie said. Dylan smiled and winked at her.
Which Mitch copied him.
"Oh great. We have a little copy cat". Marie said laughing. As she sorted out some things. While Mitch and Dylan spent some more time together.

Dylan looked at the time.
"Shall we see if my parents will answer?" Dylan said.
"Yes yes". Mitch said. As Dylan set up his iPad quickly. He tapped the button to connect to his mum and dad.

FaceTime
"Hi sweetie. How's it going in England?" His mum said.
"It's ok, look I would like you too meet someone!" Dylan said.

His mum was puzzled as Dylan put Mitch on his lap!

"Mum, this is Mitch. Your grandson, Mitch this is your nan". Dylan said.
"Hi nanny I'm Mitch". He said.
"Oh my how? What has been going on?" She said.
"It's along story will tell you when little ears aren't here". Dylan said.
"Hi, nan when can I see you in person?" Mitch said.
"Erm hopefully soon. If that's ok with mummy?" She said.

She wasn't sure if Marie was with them or if Dylan was with Mitch on his own.

"When lockdown is lifted and people are allowed to travel". A voice said.

Dylan signalled for Marie to sit next to him, so his mum could see she was there. Which she did. His Mums eyes widen when she saw Dylan with his ex wife.

"Hi". Marie said.
"Hi sweetie. It's good to see you. How have you both been, you and Mitch?" Dylan's mum said.
"We have been ok. Sticking to rules of lockdown. Keeping Mitch busy". Marie said.
"And you and Dylan. What's going on?" She said.
"It's a long story. As Dylan said something that isn't to be talked around young ears". Marie said.
"Oh ok. Please tell me when you can. Mitch have you and daddy been doing things together?" She asked.
"We have. Been playing baseball, watching tv, playing board games, I've been drawing a lot. Oh and also mummy and daddy have been kissing a lot". Mitch said.

This made her eyes go wide and both Marie and Dylan faces went so red. His mum couldn't help but smirk at what Mitch had just told her.

"Oh really! Do you like baseball?" She asked.
"I do yes. We got mum to play. It's was funny". Mitch said.
"Oh bless. So how is school?" She said.
"It's ok. Weird". Mitch said.
"I know". She said.
"Nan, what's your name? Do I look like my daddy at this age?" Mitch said.
"It's Lisa sweetie. And yes you do. The face eyes nose. Your daddy. You have his colour hair he has now". Lisa said.
"Wow really. Cool". Mitch said.
