Part Thirty-Six

The next morning Mitch was awake before Marie and Dylan.
"Mummy daddy. We are seeing baby today". Mitch said as he sat on his parents bed. Marie slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. He was sat there with a smile on his face. Dylan woke up and looked at him.
"Come here buddy. Come and give dad a hug". Dylan said opening his arms so his son could hug him. Mitch did so. But he kissed his mums tummy. Then hugged his dad.
Marie looked at the time.
It was 9am.
"Wow we was tired. It's 9am". Marie said. Moving to sit up. She looked at Mitch. Who was in his dads arms.
"I need to pee". Marie said. Getting out of bed and going into the bathroom.

Dylan got up  and got dressed. Going into the kitchen. He got Mitch's breakfast. Marie came in and looked at him.
"I can still make breakfast". Marie said.
"Yes and the doctor said you need to rest. Remember."  Dylan said.
Marie laughed and sat down next to Mitch.

Marie was looking forward to having the scan. Just not the full bladder part. She was hoping they could find out what sex the baby was.

"Hey, what's going throw your mind?" Dylan said.
"Hoping they can find out what we are having. Ain't looking forward to the full bladder bit". Marie said finishing her breakfast.
"We better make Mitch's lunch to take with us. As we will be in the hospital when it's lunch time". Marie said.
"Yeah I will help you". Dylan said.
Marie didn't say anything. She just walked out to the kitchen. Mitch and Dylan still sat at the table.
"Does anyone know mummy is going to the hospital today?" Mitch said.
"Only close family and friends. So there will be no paps. There not allowed anyway in the hospital". Dylan said.
Marie sat down on the chair in the kitchen. And for Mitch's lunch done. Dylan walked in with the plates. And did what needed to be done. He kissed the top of her head. Marie smiled.
"Ok. All done". Marie said. Putting the sandwiches into Mitch's little lunch box with a few other snacks.
She moved the chair and stood up.
"Ouch". Marie said. As the baby kicked her heard.
"You ok?". Dylan said. Placing a hand on her tummy.
"Yeah. Kicking really hard this morning". Marie said. The two walked into the living room. Mitch was playing with his toys.
Marie looked throw twitter. Smiling at the pictures of Dylan.

A few comments about her and Dylan still. Nothing much. She hoped no one would see them at the hospital. So far rent have been lucky when they have been for appointments. There as been no paps.

They soon got ready. Marie making sure she had a bottle of water. On the way to the hospital it was quiet. Mitch was singing. Making them both smile.
The hospital wasn't that busy. Marie. Looked around. Dylan got out getting Mitch out. Marie got her notes and bag and got out. All heading inside. Again no one took much notice of them. Once inside they headed up to the scan department.
Marie handed her notes to the lady and sat down.
Her bladder was full.
"I hope there quick I need to pee". Marie said.
Dylan took her hand and smiled at her. The lady let the women who was doing the scan know they was here.
Dylan's phone started to buzz he looked at it to see a message. He smiled Marie read the message.

Julia:
Good luck. Let's hope u find out what your having.
Xxx

Dylan:
Julia,  it's not me having the baby it's Marie.  And we hope so too. Xx

Julia:
Yeah I know. Fingers cross. Xx

Marie laughed and shock her head.
"She does know which one of us is pregnant right". Marie said.
"Yes". Dylan said.
"Marie". A voice said. Marie looked up and nodded. Getting up. Dylan got Mitch and followed them into a room.
Marie sat up on the bed.
"Ok. So we are checking making sure baby is ok. Also the sex as well. Apparently been no such luck in finding out what your having?" The women said.
"Yeah. Seems the baby doesn't want us to know". Marie said laying back on the bed.
Mitch sat on Dylan's lap.
"Ok". The women said. Putting some gel on Marie's tummy. She put the scanner on and move it around. Soon there baby appear on the screen.
"There it is". She said.
They all all looked.
"Wow baby is big". Dylan said.
"And you didn't notice that from the size of my tummy". Marie said sarky to him.
The women smiled.
"Ok. Let's see if we can find out what your having. So you can get what is needed for him or her". The women said. She moved the scanner around.
The baby was moving around.
"There we go". She said.
"Have found out?" Marie said.
"Yes. Your having a girl". She said.
"Call a baby sister". Mitch said.
"Is she ok?" Dylan said.
"She is fine. Growing. I guess your babies have been big". She said.
"Yes". Marie said.
"Dylan your side big babies?" She said.
"Yes". Dylan said.
"That's good. The baby is growing. I think they will probably deliver early. Have they said anything to you about that?" She said.
"Yes. They did. All mine have been early". Marie said.
"Ok. It seems you have an appointment with the consult today as well was you aware of that?" She said.
"Erm not. We have had no letters to say this". Marie said.
"Doesn't surprise me. Are you able to see them?" She said.
"Well yeah of course". Marie said. The lady nodded.
