Part Ten

The night went quick!
Marie managed to get some sleep! But not much. She was up showered and dressed. Mitch was still fast a sleep. So she let him sleep.
Marie was sat on the sofa watching tv and eating her toast!
She looked down to see her phone buzzing. It was a withheld number so she ignored it and carried on watching tv.
She checked the time 8am. She heard a door and looked around to see Mitch smiling at her.
"Morning sweetie". Marie said.
"Morning mummy". Mitch said giving her a big smile.
Mitch soon eat his breakfast.
"Wow you was hungry this morning". Marie said.

Marie made sure everything was packed. Marie's phone beep and she looked down at it.

Dylan:
Can I please see Mitch before you leave?

Ok, only for a little while. I still need to make sure he understands who u r!

Marie looked at her soon. 
"Mitch sweetie, mummy needs to talk to you!"  Marie said.
She sat down next to him.
"Mum is that man really my dad?" Mitch asked.
"Yes Sweetie, Dylan is your dad". Marie said.
"He is my dad?"  Mitch said.  With a massive smile on his face. Marie made sure Mitch understood this. As he was only young.
"Does he know he's my dad?"  Mitch asked.
"Yes. He wants to see you before we go home, and also if you want you can see him for a few hours on Tuesday". Marie said looking at him.
"Ok, can I call him dad?"  Mitch asked. Just as she was about to answer their was a knock at the door. Marie got up and opened it allowing Dylan to come in. He looked at Mitch.
"Hi". Dylan said.  Talking to Mitch.
"Your my dad?"  Mitch asked. Dylan looked at Marie.
"Yes I am". Dylan said. Mitch smiled at him. Dylan sat down.
Marie let them sit and talk well Mitch asking Dylan lots of questions which was understandable.

"Are you looking forward to starting school?"  Dylan asked.
"Yes and no, I will miss mummy". Mitch said making Marie's heart melt.
"But mummy says I have to go as it will do me good and I will make friends". Mitch said.
"It will yes". Dylan said. Mitch got some of his toys. Marie sat and watched Dylan interact with their son.
"Am I still coming to see you?"  Mitch asked.
Marie looked at Dylan. 
"Of course, we will be spending time together is their anything you would like to do?"  Dylan asked.
"Park". Mitch said.
Marie smiled. Her son loved the outdoors.
"Ok is that ok with mummy?"  Dylan said. Looking over at Marie, who was doing her best to avoid eye contact with him.
"Yes that is fine just be careful". Marie said. Dylan knew what she was referring too. Dylan nodded. Luckily Mitch hadn't picked up on things.
Soon the door opened and Sarah walked in. She stopped when she saw Dylan their.
"Oh hi". Sarah said.
"Hi". Dylan said.
Sarah looked at her mum and smiled.
She stood and watch Mitch and Dylan.
They seem to get on ok. Which was good for Mitch.
Sarah took a picture of them together.
"Sarah, no putting it online". Marie said.
"I wont". Sarah said. 
Time seemed to go by and it was now lunch time. 
Marie checked her phone to make sure their was enough time to get Mitch some lunch.
Which there was. She ordered food for them even Dylan.
Soon they eat.

Before they knew it, it was time to go. Dylan said bye to Mitch as he gave him a cuddle. They left making there way down to the front of the hotel. Sarahs dad was parked outside.
He helped with the stuff. Marie strapping Mitch in.
Marie got into the car.
Soon the car was moving.
"How did it go?"  Her ex asked.
"It went ok, Dylan spent this morning with Mitch. He is seeing him tomorrow. Are you still ok to take him?"  Marie asked.
"It is fine, Dylan knows the times?" He asked.
"Yes". Marie said.
"Does he know?"  He asked.
"Yes he knows". Marie said.
The drive back was quiet. Marie had a lot of thinking to do.
Soon Marie was back at her home. She took Mitch out of the car and they took the suit cases out all walking into her flat.
Marie let Mitch play with some of his toys while she put the washing on.
Marie found his over night bag and put a change of clothes init. Just in case he got dirty.
"You know dad will be there so if anything happens. He will bring him straight home". Sarah said.
She could sense her mum was feeling a bit uneasy the next day. And she didn't blame her. It had been along time since she had seen Dylan. Sarah was surprised how well her mum had handled the last few days. But she knew her mum did it for the sake of Mitch. Has she did not want him picking up on any bad atmosphere between them.
Mitch didn't need to know the ins and outs of why Dylan hasn't been in his life. As of yet he was too young to understand.
Right now all they could all do was focus on Mitch having a relationship with his father. Sarah was kind of glad she was giving Dylan the chance to be a father to Mitch. But Sarah also knew if Dylan messed up even once. Marie would tell him to fuck off.
