HARRY POV:

"Almost there!" I said seeing the gate in the distance.

"Whoo-hoo!" Ginny whooped, keeping focused the whole time, as to not lose grip on the trunk under me.

"Let's go lower," I said, seeing the gate now.

We both lowered each other and tumbled down to the ground next to all the other trunks, in laughter.

"There you two are!" Professor Flitwick yelled.

"Nice broomstick Potter." I heard Malfoy spit from the other side, next to Snape.

"Goes with your nose." He snickered.

Snape gave all of us a look and then swiftly turned around and walked towards the castle, this cloak flying in the wind behind him.

"Names?" Flitwick asked us.

"Professor you've known me since the first year," I said, getting up with Ginny.

"It doesn't matter Potter." He said looking up at me.

"Oh very well." He said looking at me.

He pointed his wand at my nose and soon I heard a crack, and it was back to normal.

"Thank you, Professor," I said, admiring my nose.

"Yes yes. Get a move on, and take Weasley with you tit tit," He said urging us on.

"Don't want to be late for dinner." He said, writing down our names on his paper.

"Thanks, Professor!" Ginny exclaimed, pulling me along.

Flitwick just smiled and went back to writing on his clipboard.

"I didn't get to ask you." Ginny started, staring at me seriously.

"What did you hear Malfoy say? I mean you risked a lot of things and you were about to head back to London invisible, so I presume you figured something out?" She asked staring at me.

I laughed and watched her as we walked still hand in hand towards the castle which was just a minute away.

"Honestly, not much." I started.

"Of course. You went way too late, and most importantly, you risked causing a major scene. Can you imagine? Harry Potter, the boy who lived, gone missing?" She said sarcastically, pretending to be shocked.

"Well, I didn't because you found me." I smiled at her.

"Just barely!" She exclaimed, right as we walked up to the front doors.

"But you did!" I exclaimed, grinning.

She stared at me, let go of my hand, and ran off into the castle.

"Hey!" I exclaimed, running after her.

"Wait for me!" I yelled, chasing her to the place where she stopped and quickly retraced her steps backward.

"Great Hall." She said, facing me and panting.

"Dumbledore speech. We- missed- sorting." She said, catching her breath.

I caught my breath myself, and I soon heard Dumbledore's voice loudly speaking.

"Our new potions master, Professor Horace Slughorn!" He exclaimed, and soon the hall erupted in applause and murmurs and voices muttering.

"Potions?" Ginny whispered in my ear.

"I-" I stuttered, but soon heard the applause die down.

"And filling the post of Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Snape!" He said and soon applause followed.
