I had been getting ready with my white dress. My mom just bought this for me because I told her that Jayden invited me to his sister's wedding. And you know what? My mom screamed hysterically when she heard that, and I thought that was a good opportunity to beg for a new dress, only dress, but she bought me cream high heels too, and she brought me to a salon to style my hair and put on makeup.
To be honest, I wasn't confident enough to wear this dress, 'twas my first time wearing a dress without sleeves.
I let out a sigh, stepping forward toward in front of my house. By the way, Jayden's house was face to face with my house, that's why I could see Jayden standing ahead of his car as he smiled at me. He's... handsome. He wore a white tuxedo. And I don't know why our color clothes are the same.
Then I walked toward him, and he did likewise. So we met in the middle of the street. Gratefully no one was here except us.
"Thanks."
I nodded as I smiled.
"Btw, you're so beautiful." He added.
I sighed. "To be honest, I'm not confident wearing this dress."
"Why are you not confident? You're gorgeous, don't you know?"
I chuckled. "Stop saying that bullshit."
"I'm serious, Lily."
"Up to you!"
He chuckled. "My family is waiting for us. So, let's go."
We walked toward the car. Jayden opened and closed the door for me, switching to sit on his seat, and drove his car.
It was the first time I went out with a boy at night. Oh, I forgot. It was the second time, the first one was when I lost my necklace. Ugh, remembering that moment made me sad and happy one time.
About 20 minutes later, we arrived at our destination. Jayden opened the door for me, then we walked arm in arm. The wedding party concept was really beautiful, it's outdoor in a garden. So many lamps illuminated the dark night.
My eyes stared around, a lot of people attended Jayden's sister's wedding party. I gulped, my heart throbbed, I wasn't so confident. So I stopped walking, making Jayden give me a wondering stare.
I understood that he asked why I pulled up here, but I was just silent. Afterward, he returned to walking but I still didn't move. I bowed my head as I bit my lower lip.
I was shocked when Jayden bent over to equalize his height with me as he held my shoulders.
"Look at me!"
I kept my head down.
"Lily...."
He called my name, making me automatically look into his eyes.
"You're gorgeous. No one will mock you. If they do, they'll face me first. Starting right now, I'm your guardian. Ok?"
He seemed so sincere, making my heart warm.
"Hey, Jay!" It wasn't me. It was a boy who stood up behind Jayden.
Jayden turned back his body. "Long time no see bro."
"What weird words. We live together, don't act like we never met."
"Be calm, bro."
"Wow, you never brought a girl before. What's your name, girl?" The boy lent his hand to me.
