5 Days after the fight in the obelisk.

(3 Days after the last chapter)

A yell fills the air, but is quickly silenced by pain.

"Wh-where.. What happened...?"

A looming creature stands over the being, looking down with it's large observant eyes.

"Easy there, easy... Take it slow."

He slowly sits up right, pain searing through the left side of his body

"Hmhmhm. We meet again, old friend."

The creature said to the human below.

"We do indeed. Why did you assist us?"

The voice of another being, one that was neither the human's voice, or the creature's.

"You were in dire condition, I was able to preserve most of the body."

The human tries to push himself up onto his feet, but as he does, an unbearable pain from his left side sends him reeling back to the ground in pain. He looks over and discovers an unbelievable sight.

"Most of the body."

The human's left arm was now fully mechanical. He tries to move the digits on the arm but more pain comes as a result.

"It will take time for the system to adapt to his own. But it should be more versatile than his previous limb."

"How long do you think it will be?"

The human asked the creature.

"I cannot say precisely, it depends on how your body reacts to the implant."

"It will be fine."

The unknown voice spoke again.

"Easy for you to say.. And on another note, you two know each other??"

"Indeed we do, in fact it's because of your little friend you harbor within you that got me here many years ago."

"You know my name, Serpix."

"Serpix?"

The human asked, puzzled.

Serpix : "The name is Userpix.jpg, but Serpix is my title to the entities I get to know."

The creature explained, helping the human up to his feet.

"Sounds like a file name."

The human remarked, wincing in pain.

Serpix : "Because it is a file. Did he not explain this to you already?"

The vaguely feminine voice of the creature asked curiously.

"I... Have not.."

Serpix : "Wow, holding out on your humaan friend here?"

The creature mocked the unknown voice.

Serpix : "Well, his real name is U_R_next.Ext, but you know him by his title instead. He does have a bad habit to shelter his hosts from that kind of information."

"Mmmmmh..."

"Now what..?"

The human asked, looking around as his vision started to gain more definition. When he gazed at the creature, or rather Serpix, who was looking at him, he saw what it was clear a day. It was a spider of sorts, but parts of it looked to be mechanized. A respirator, some legs with springs and metal spikes at the ends, a built in cannon on its abdomen, and several parts of its main body were plates of metal.
