Chapter 28 : Last Piece of this Puzzle.

*Ben's perspective*

My eyelids open slowly, the room still dark. No sunlight crept in, which was much preferred than being blinded first thing in the morning. I go to slip out of bed and start the usual routine, but something cold held me down.

When I roll over to my side to investigate, I didn't see what was holding me down to the bed, but rather what was keeping me happy in this new world, Mira. She had her arms clinging around my chest. Her face showed only her relaxed state of mind. I quietly chuckle to myself, then wrap my arms around her torso to pull her in closer. Gently giving her a kiss on her mechanical forehead, I let my eyes drift back shut, and enjoy her company.

Ben : "I love you ."

*A few hours later*

*Alex's Perspective*

Alex : "Aye, Terra, c'mon, you gotta get up."

Gently nudging her side to wake her up, doing my best to keep a low and calming tone in my voice. With a bit of persistence, her eyes flutter open and looked over to me.

Terra : "What is it Ali?"

Alex : "We need to get the others up soon, we have work to do."

She rubbed her eyes of their fatigue, the amber glint in them beautiful to look at.

Terra : "Why? And what time even is it?"

Alex : "It is... 15 minutes from 4:00 A.M."

She groaned an slowly sat up in the bed.

Terra : "What kind of 'work' could you or Ben possibly want done so early in the day..?"

She wasn't happy with me one bit, but she still loves me so, I win.

Alex : "Well if you remember, we have 2 of the 3 artifacts needed to unlock the green obelisk. And we need to still get those alpha trophies, I think.

Terra : "The alpha tributes, yeah."

Alex : "So why not just get everyone up now, and get those now so we can start planning."

She ponders on the idea for a minute.

Terra : "I guess you have a point. How did yo

She hops out of bed, and plants a kiss on my cheek.

Terra : "Well, lets get the others up then. But, again, why so early?"

Alex : "The more time we have to use, the better the outcome."

She nodded, and we both walk out of my room and down the hall to the other rooms. One by one, we quietly wake up the others and begin assembling the team. Thompson, Moa, then Plyia. Explaining to them my plan, Terra goes down the hall to get Mira. I tell them how I envisioned the scene. Buffet style food and drinks, a few games to possibly, and above all, a human friendly veggie cake that Terra could try and whip up., but more than anything, I want Ben to be happy. They all seemed to agree with my idea.

Terra : "Hey, any of you know where Mira is?"

I turned to face her.

Thompson : "I cannot say I do."

Moa : "Nothin here."

Plyia : "I have no clue, she's usually either in her room or outside roaming around?"

Alex : "Huh, probably doing just that, out for a stroll through the woods or something."

Terra shrugged before going to the stairs.
