*Ben's Perspective.*

We embark on the return trip home, the sun dominating the afternoon sky as we cut through the water. I peak over to the side and see the water whisking by. It was truly astonishing at the moment. How something as big as Plyia can traverse the water with such ease. The feeling only amplified when I realized Moa was following not far behind at the same speed, and a Mosasaur is at least twice the size of a Plesio.

I lay back down on Plyias smooth back and imagine how I could explain this experience to someone. Then a memory came up that summed it up perfectly. The Water Horse movie I watched back as a kid, and how I was basically reenacting that famous scene when the boy rides along the Loch Ness's back. A grin came across my face as I rewatched the memories in my mind's eye. I shake off the good times to ask Plyia a more serious question.

Ben : "How long is it expected to take?"

I ask so I can plan on how to pass the time.

Plyia : "The trip?"

Ben : "Yes ma'am."

Plyia : "Well normally when we are not in a hurry, about a day, but since you seem to be in a hurry, we can make it in about...."

Plyia paused, leaving the water being sliced underneath us to occupy the surrounding calm..

Plyia : "6 Hours, so before sundown."

Ben : "Yeesh, it took me 2 and a half days to get to that coastline."

I say to her, clearly lying to myself, but whatever. I felt her body move up and down as she laughed at my comment.

Plyia : "You poor thing."

Ben : "Like dang, I should have met up with you guys a lot sooner. Would have saved me an endeavor and a half."

Plyia : "Well, you did now, better now than later."

Ben : "Or ever."

Plyia : "Yeah that's trues"

Ben : "Can I ask you a more personal question?"

I had a thought come to mind as we were talking, so I wanted to hear her response.

Plyia : "Sure, why not."

Ben : "How did you meet Moa? I mean normally, you two would be actively killing each other in the wild, but yet it seems like the two of you have a well built friendship. I'm really just wondering how that started in the first place."

She didn't answer immediately, but she did let a long sigh out before she began explaining.

Plyia "A few years ago, I was a pup."

I looked a bit confused at the term pup, but then remembered the weird sea terminology crap that existed and didn't bother questioning further.

Plyia : "He found me after some humans had slaughtered most of the group I had called my family."

Ben : "Oh, well. then.... Um.... I really don't know what to say to that."

I stared into the blue sky as my pity for her grew. I might have been the cause of her family being slaughtered. I know I haven't even been to the ocean until not, but who says I wasn't the beginning of a chain reaction that led to the group that did this.

Ben : "I'm sorry to hear.."

Plyia : "Hey, don't worry about it, it's just history now, besides, your friend Uronix took care of most of them anyways."
