Chapter 24 : Slight Panic

Flavius : "Me?"

Uronix : "Yes, you."

I had no intentions of taking the Queen, Flavius would be a much better fit since we have become friends, I think.

I turn back to the old wyvern, give them a farewell nod, and leap out of the volcano. I wait there for Flavius to catch up before beginning my descent. The pulverized rocks made me slide frequently when stepping down, I could hear Flavius laughing above me at my struggle. When I finally got to more stable ground, Flavius was sitting there waiting for me.

Uronix : "What.."

Flavius : "Nothing, just enjoying the sights one last time."

I think she knew she was going back to my base, since I did bring it up with the council. But I also remembered something she told me before I fought the king.

Uronix : "Where is your brother, Flamedra?"

She looked at me slightly confused.

Flavius : "Back at my den, why?"

Uronix : "He is coming with us."

I told her. She looked at me, maw a gape. She looked like she just won the lottery.

Flavius : "Really?"

Uronix : "Did I stutter?"

Flavius : "N-no.."

Uronix : "Then get..."

I watch her fly off towards a patch of crystal topped hills in the distance. I decided to go ahead and reenter my human form, since nobody was here to watch me.

*Alex's Perspective*

Alex : "Uuuh, where's Ben?

Moa : "I don't know. Last I saw him was earlier yesterday."

Alex : "Fuck me, where did he go

We were starting to get a little concerned about this now. Ben hasn't been around the base all of this morning, and I worry he might have gotten hurt or something.

Terra : "Should we go looking for him?"

Alex : "No, we shouldn't. He more than likely knows what he is doin- GAAAAH!!"

I feel an immense sharp pain sear into my head. It was so sudden and intense I landed on my knees, grabbing at the source of the pain. My vision blurred and all I could feel was that pain. All sound ceased

Terra : "ALEX!!"

As quick as it came, the pain was gone. My vision cleared up, and I saw Terra was practically cradling me in her arms. She had a look of terror on her face.

Alex : "What happened..?"

Terra : "Well, you screamed out in pain, then fell to the floor."

She then ha a puzzled look on her face. She put a finger on my head, then looked down at me.

Terra : "You have something on your head now too. It looks like some kind of Tek material."

I feel where her finger was, and I did feel something that was hardened an edged. It gve the cold sensation to the touch like metal would. Was I infected, was I attacked, what the fuck is this thing in my head.

Alex : : "Still stings like a bitch..."

I groaned, standing up again. I see Thompson walking up quickly to me with Plyia skipping right behind him.
