Chapter 31 : The Fight (Part 2)

*Alex's Perspective*

The sound of rumbling took my attention away from the boss fight. I looked over to see where it was coming from, and I find where. The wall I was looking at was making the noise, and I had turned around just in time to see the wall crumble, right on top of Ben. All I could do is stare in complete shock and horror.

Alex : "BEN!!!"

My voice filled completely with terror. I rushed over to help him, but the giant spider machine gets right in my way, standing between me, and the rubble.

Terra : "What's wrong with Ben?"

Alex : "HE'S UNDER THERE!!!"

I yell at the top of my lungs, pointing to the large pile of rocks. He then felt another emotion surge throughout him.

Alex : "KILL THIS SON OF A BITCH!!!"

*Narrator*

Alex charges straight at the machine, fury radiating from him. Thompson and Moa followed just behind him.

Alex : "Moa, give me that fucking trident. NOW!!"

Moa tossed his Weapon, to which Alex gave him his sword. He then threw his metal shield with such force it ricocheted off the spider's head and took out another loose wall, sending rocks and debris everywhere. The spider stumbled from the impact, giving Alex just enough time to get right in its face and jab the trident into one of its mandibles. Thompson morphed, and then body slammed the machine with all 8 tons of his furious spino body. Moa leaped up onto the head and stabbed out one of the eyes.

The rage that fueled Alex made him feel, nothing. He didn't feel anything, he only wanted one thing, to disassemble this monster. Plyia rushed by and started slashing at the spider madly while she went fully ballistic. Terra snipes 3 of its eyes out, and Mira slices a leg clean off with a well placed swing. Alex was just about to rush up on the spider again, but another noise from behind him caught his attention.

Turning around, he expected to see another wall collapsing, but what he found was much more confusing and horrifying. There, crawling out of the wall that just collapsed from his shield, was another  bigger, badder Broodmother, with more of a reddish tint to its coloration. But the last thing he expected to happen, was when the red Broodmother... Spoke.

Red Broodmother : "This is MY Den!!!"

Everyone fighting stopped dead in their tracks. Even the mechanical spider paused out of confusion to look, but saw a gigantic red mass rushing it before it was flung across the cavern.

Alex : "Don't stop!! We got more people wanting it dead!!!"

The gang, and their new 'ally?' all run at the machine. Thompson swipes his tail underneath it, sweeping its legs out from underneath it. As it falls to the ground, Terra picks off one more eye with an arrow. Mira runs up and jabs the tail blade into the head of the machine. Moa and Plyia run onto its head and take out the remaining eyes. Alex, with Moa's trident in hand, leaps up and aims. He throws the weapon and it hits its mark, right into the hole Mira had made. The Red Broodmother, with an angry shriek, rears its 4 front lets up and slams them down onto the trident with a thunderous boom. A dust cloud temporarily blinds everyone, all fighting stops.

When the dust clears, the machine's head has been nailed into the earth by the trident, its limbs slowly curling up towards its body before the blue lights all around its body dimmed out. It was done, that thing, was finally dead.

Alex : "Ben!!"

Alex yelled as he rushed underneath the red spider and to the debris pile where he saw Ben get buried. A thought was rushing through his mind, but he didn't want to believe it, it couldn't be true. Everyone soon followed and started trying to move the stone away. They made little progress before they were stopped by massive boulders, easily over 20-30 tons a piece.
