"Gringotts?"

(Y/N)'s POV

"(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N)," said Ankia excitedly, while barging through the apartment door.

"What?" I said.

"Diagon Alley- August 1st- my boss is letting me go," she said excitedly, not being able to finish her sentences. She walked up to the chair next to me and I put a place marker in my book and placed it on the table.

"Okay?" I questioned more than I asked.

"Aren't you excited?" she questioned, a little concern in her voice.

"I don't know what to be excited for..." I stated, confused. Anika was looking at me like I had just said the most concerning thing ever.

"You can get your stuff and go to Hogwarts!"

"Nice try Anika. I know you're just pranking me," I said and opened my book. She looked away from me for a couple of seconds, then shot up like a light bulb just turned on in her head. I quickly looked over at her then back to my book so she wouldn't notice that I noticed.

"(Y/N)?" she questioned. I sighed and put my book down once more.

"What?" I said, lightly.

"If there is no such thing as magic, then watch this," she said. She pulled out a wand that was black and had a pattern, but only on the end of the wand where she gripped it. She mumbled something that I couldn't hear. Then all of a sudden there was a light, glowing from the tip of her wand. I gasped slightly, I could feel a concerned look emerge on my face.

"See, magic is real," she said and mumbled something that sounded like "nox" and her light went out.

"Now be excited for Diagon Alley," she said. I felt a smile emerge on my face and I could see a smile on hers as I tuned back into my book, not even registering what I am reading.

***

Anika's been keeping track of how many days to go until we go to Diagon Alley. She seems to be more excited about this than I. It's something about, "my entrance to the Wizarding World." Don't get me wrong I am excited to learn more about this "Hogwarts" school but I still have my doubts.

It was finally the day that we were going to Diagon Alley. I knew this because I was summoned to a rude awaking.

"(Y/N) (L/N) GET UP RIGHT NOW WE ARE GOING TO DIAGON ALLEY," she yelled after bursting through the doorway.

"Okay, okay, just- let me get ready first," I said, my voice sounding scratchy.

"Hurry up," said Anika then left out the door. I didn't even realize that she opened the blinds because my face was facedown into the pillow.

I got ready and brushed my (h/c) hair and put it in a low bun. I brushed my teeth and ate breakfast that I was now making again instead of Anika.

"(Y/N)? Ready to go?" she asked impatiently.

"Yep," I said putting my stuff away and walking toward the door. I was starting to feel the excitement of going to Diagon Alley as the minutes got closer.

Anika and I started down the stairs. Anika was rambling about my "entrance to the Wizarding World" and "how important it was for me to make a good impression." I was dozing off because I was too excited to listen. We got in the car and Anika started to drive to who knows where. I didn't. She could be dumping me off in a lake and I wouldn't care, I'm a witch, I think?
