~ the score

Y'all how are we already more than halfway through first-year? Ahh! I love y'all so much!

Also, I will admit, I wasn't planning on publishing a chapter today because I have been quite busy, so please don't hold me to my word of, "every Wednesday and Saturday." But, I do promise at least 2 chapters a week!

"AND (L/N) SCORES FOR GRYFFINDOR!"

____________________________

(Y/N)'s POV

On Saturday would be Harry and I's first Quidditch match. Gryffindor versus Slytherin. If we won, Gryffindor would move up into second place, getting us one step closer to the House Championship.

Oliver never let anyone see Harry and I play in front of anyone because we were Gryffindors, "secret weapon," as he phrased it.

When I told Ron this in the common room alone, his response enraged me.

"Bloody hell, (Y/N), the way you talk about Wood," he said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, rather jokingly.

"I mean- it sounds like you have a bit of a thing for him," he said.

I groaned, "just because I enjoy playing Quidditch with him, doesn't mean I fancy him!" I complained.

"Yeah, then why say his first name?" Ron pointed out.

"Because! That's how you address people! You don't see me calling you 'Weasley' do you?" I said.

"That's different. You're close with me, but you only see Wood on the pitch," said Ron, defending his standpoint.

"He's also, how many years older than me?" I asked. "He's a 4th year! Isn't he?" I said.

"That doesn't stop you from fancying him," he said. "You think it would? Wouldn't you?" he added.

"I never fancy anyone. Nor, will I," I said confidently. When I say "nor, will I," what I really mean is, if I ever do fancy anyone, I won't tell you.

I also noticed Harry's reading within the past couple of days.

"Quidditch Through the Ages?" I questioned, reading the title of his book.

"Yeah- Hermione gave it to me," he said, nodding his head toward Hermione, who also had her nose in a book, though this isn't out of the ordinary.

"Did you know, that in a World Cup match in 1473, every single foul possible, happened!" he said impressed, reading off the book. I sent Ron a confused and shocked look. He just shrugged, also confused.

"Harry Potter? Reading?" I said sarcastically.

"Hey! I read!" he said, now taking his nose out of his book.

"Not your textbooks," I said mockingly. He just rolled his eyes and went back to his book.

Hermione also became more relaxed over the course of the past weeks. Ever since the troll incident, she hasn't seemed to care.

Anika got a letter about the troll, and her response was:

Dear (Y/N),

I was notified about that troll. I should be mad, but I can't be. You were able to take down a troll! Not to mention, you're only a first-year! Good to know that you would make a great Auror. Taking after your sister, I see.

I wish I could come to see you play Quidditch, but unfortunately, I have a bunch of work going on, I wish I could come! But I know you'll do great! Especially if McGonagall wanted you to play as a first-year!
