Y'all, I just found out you call "apartment" "flat" in the UK. So if you're from the UK and read the last couple of chapters, I was referring to a flat when I said "apartment."

"We'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat"

(Y/N)'s POV

Over the next month, I read all of my books and almost decided to try out some spells until Anika told me not to:

"No underage wizardry, I am not going to let you take any chances," she said.

I didn't really understand what it meant, but I just decided to not play with my wand. After all, I didn't want anything dangerous to happen.

I was very excited to go to Hogwarts and meet friends and to learn magic so August felt like the longest month ever.  It definitely didn't help that Anika was keeping a countdown until I left for Hogwarts.

(C/N) was also a very nice cat and never caused us trouble, she wasn't technically allowed in our apartment, so we kept her a secret. After all, it wasn't like she was going to live there forever, just a month.

The day finally came when I would be going to Hogwarts. Except I didn't exactly know how I was going to get there. Car? Train? Diagon Alley? It's the magical world, who knows, could be a unicorn, you never know what to expect.

I woke up early in the morning, I was too excited to leave, I couldn't sleep.

When I went downstairs, I saw that Anika was already up.

"Woke up early, did you?" She asked, not taking her eyes off her newspaper, which I now know is the Daily Prophet. She must have heard me creaking around.

"Yeah -- Are you always up this early?" I asked. She took a sip out of her mug. Still not making eye contact with me.

"Sometimes, I can't sleep anymore. Besides, today's the day you're going off to Hogwarts," she said, now putting down her newspaper. She nodded her head towards the kitchen, "mind making food? You know I'm not the best cook," she said, making it obvious.

"No really?" I said in a fake, sarcastic, shock.

"Just -- Make -- The -- Food," she said, pausing after every word. I nodded in agreement, a smirk definitely on my face.

I walked over to the refrigerator to get some eggs. I turned on the stove and got a pan out.

"Anika?" I asked.

"Yeeepp," she stretched the word out, she had gone back to reading the newspaper.

"How do we get to Hogwarts," I said. For some reason, it never came across me to ask the person who went to Hogwarts.

She set down her newspaper, now watching me as a prepared the food, "King's Cross, you have your ticket, right?" She asked. My ticket? I don't remember getting a ticket.

Anika must have noticed my scared face, "it came with the letter -- over there!" She pointed at a stack of mail that was on the counter, my letter being right next to it. I continued cooking as got up and opened the letter.

"Ah- here, you missed it (Y/N)," she said making me sound dumb.

"Sorry, I must have been in too much shock," I said sarcastically. I couldn't see Anika's reply to my sarcastic remark though.

"King's Cross -- Platform 9¾ -- 11 o'clock," she said, reading off of the ticket.

"P-platform -- what?" I stuttered. I must have not heard her correctly, I thought I heard her say platform 9¾.
