CHAPTER 2

Flashback to their high school years and how Yuki and Ashden met.

Yuki'S POV

"Nak! Wake up! You still have to go to school!" I heard Papa shouting from outside.

"Yeah, Yuki! Get up already, I made breakfast for you!" Mama called out too.

"Okay, Ma! I'll just take a quick shower," I replied enthusiastically. I stretched and headed straight to the bathroom.

Ah, high school life! It's such a great feeling! The vacation's finally over!

"Oh, here's your favorite breakfast," Mama said cheerfully as she set a plate down in front of me. I happily took a seat beside her.

"Thank you, Ma!" I grinned and took a bite of the bacon she'd prepared. Meanwhile, Papa was scooping fried rice onto my plate.

"Can you go wake your brother up? Goodness, it's so late, and he's still lying in bed," Papa complained a bit irritably. "But your brother's doing well in his studies, right?" he asked with a smile as he turned to me.

"Yes, Pa! I heard he's ranked second in his class, and he's the only boy on the top list!" I replied proudly.

"Wow, really? That's impressive! You're Top 1, and he's Top 2! My kids are geniuses!" Dad boasted proudly, making me laugh.

"Now, go wake him up so he can eat! All you do is chat," Mama teased us, making me smile.

"Alright, alright!" Papa agreed, getting up and heading to Yunji's room.

"Next year, you'll be in college, Nak. What do you want to take up?" Mama suddenly asked.

"I want to take up business, Ma," I answered with a smile.

"Really? That's great! You'll be able to fulfill your father's old dream," she said with a proud smile. I just smiled back.

"I heard you want to go into business, Anak? That's awesome!" I turned to Papa, surprised as he returned. I hadn't even noticed he was back.
