Yuki's POV

"Argh! I'm exhausted!" Natsumi groaned as she flopped onto our couch.

"Girl, everyone's tired," I laughed.

"But I'm the most tired," she declared dramatically

.

"Eme mo!" Aki exclaimed, still fuming as she pointed outside. "Mas nakakapagod sa 'kin, pesteng boss ko na yun, wala atang araw na hindi niya ako papagurin!"

"Why do you even put up with that? You could just work for me, you know?" I suggested softly.

"I'm already a stockholder in your company, and now you want me to be an employee too? No thanks. I want to—"

"Just admit it, you're only staying because you like your CEO," we were all startled when someone spoke from the door.

"Haruki!" Natsumi greeted cheerfully.

"Parang unfair nalang talaga lagi sa bahay na 'to. Hindi naman ganoon ang salubong mo sa  akin kanina nung umuwi ako ha!" Aki complained to Natsumi.

"Idiot, you came home first," Natsumi shot back.

"You're all so noisy," I grumbled as I got up and headed to the kitchen.

"Wait... are you stressed, Ki?" Natsumi called out, watching me slice a tomato.

"Something bad happened at work?" Haruki asked, and I realized she was now standing beside me, washing her hands in the sink.

"Wala naman," I replied, unsure if I should tell them or just keep it to myself.

"You don't go to the kitchen unless you're stressed or overthinking. Now, who are you trying to fool?" she teased, leaning against the kitchen island.

"I told you, it's nothing," I said, laughing, though I was starting to think maybe I should just tell them.

"What Haruki said is true. You never handle kitchen utensils unless you're stressed. And besides, andyan naman sila manang para magluto for us" I didn't even notice Natsumi and Aki had moved closer, watching me intently. Was I that distracted?
