Taehyung's Pov:-

I stared at the girl in my arms with my face as blank as a white sheet. I didn't know that I'd be this wrong when I thought that she'll live in the dark forever.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I whispered. I had to make this one last attempt to keep her exactly where she is. I didn't want her to recall.

Her eyes sparkled under the dim light upon us. The drops of tears welled up in her eyes as her lower lip quivered, and it made me feel like I had a child in my arms.

"No, you know exactly what I mean. P-Please tell me. I need to know, and I know that there's so much that I don't know about you." She begged.

I knew that I could tell her everything. Everything from the bottom to the end. How meeting Jungkook that day a few months ago in the streets was not a mere coincidence, and how we were not just strangers to her.

"Munhee you're not making any sense to me right now, and I think you need some sleep, yes. Let me take you home after a witness statement. You need rest." I released her from my arms and stood up. I did not dare make eye contact with her, because I knew that the look in her eyes was going to melt me to the core.

"Ta-Taehyung, please. Please, tell me..." Munhee's frail voice called my name, making it so sound so heavenly like never before.

I stopped my feet. My breathing pattern stressed out, and I closed my eyes.

She needs to know. Munhee needs to know. I'll never forgive myself if I become selfish and reveal this.

"Taehyung, please," She cried. My insides gave out and I knew it was about time.

I gotta tell her.

"Munhee..." My voice was barely audible. I tried not to breakdown. I couldn't.

Munhee's Pov:-

He stopped when I called out his name, and I could sense the battle raging inside him.

He turned around. If he was going to brush it off and say that I was just imagining things, then his teary and bloodshot were going to betray him.

He nibbled on his lower lip and squeezed his eyes shut. We stayed like that for a moment before he opened his eyes again.

"Do you really not remember? Munhee, do you really not remember the times that you spent with your head on my chest, listening to my heartbeat?" He whispered as he came near me, and I shivered.

"Tell me that you don't remember the time when you found out Jungkook was cheating on you and I was your safe haven. I was your getaway."

My head spinned rapidly before I collapsed against the cold floor.

Jungkook's Pov:-

I gripped onto a wall for support, as hot tears decorated my entire face. She was not supposed to know, she was not supposed to know.

Namjoon Hyung gripped onto my shoulder and tried to console me, after all he was the first one to know about everything.

"Jungkook, you know that one day she was supposed to know, you couldn't have stopped it in any way. We should've let her decide for herself, instead of taking things in our hands." As much as Namjoon Hyung's reason was valid, at that point it was honestly frustrating me.

My breathing labored, and I pulled my hair. I could feel my heart pounding, and the impact came up to my ears.

I knew that I was supposed to tell Munhee about this, but I was not ready. I wanted to be the one to tell her, not Tae Hyung. Tae Hyung was doing it again. He was taking my Munhee from me.

God knows how many nights I'd  stayed up with my pillows wet, wanting to reverse everything that I did.

I did a few wrong things, but I was willing to change. I became a new man, just for her. And now everything was coming back to me.

"J-Jungkook...? What is Jin saying?" Mrs. Kim whispered as she slowly walked towards me, with bloodshot eyes and a look of disbelief.

I dropped my gaze to the floor. I couldn't speak, not that I had any right to. The way Mrs. Kim grabbed my collar and shaked my body almost made it seem like she always Munhee's Mom.

I didn't dare to speak when I noticed the furious look in her eyes like that of a she-bear. Jin Hyung tried to pull her back, but in vain.

"I don't think this is what she meant when she said that you're a good guy. I hope she doesn't keep hanging out with you, and even if she wants to, I'll personally make sure that she doesn't." She barked, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Mom, let him go. Let Munhee decide for herself. Let him go." Jin Hyung tried to reason with her, sending daggers at me.
