Yoongi and I waited at the red light for what felt like a lifetime. It was a cloudy day, and the streets were not crowded at all.
"Seriously? He said that?" Yoongi turned his head towards me, with his hands on the steering wheel.
"Sure did. And when you said that he'd be intimidating, that was an understatement." I sighed as he chuckled.
"Honey, I told you that he was a little rough on the tongue. And honestly you can't blame him, he's grown up with a lot of problems." Yoongi said as he started the vehicle at the green signal.
"And what exactly does it have to do with his professionalism? He did not even wish me a good morning, to begin with!" I whisper-yelled.
"Let it go. Let it go." Yoongi simply said as he steered his car towards a left turn.
"By the way, have you parents already sent the legal notice?" He asked.
"Yeah, but they practically handed it to me at the funeral ceremony." Yoongi tsked at this as his car came to a halt.
"Munhee, please know that I'm always here for you. I know that you've gone through a lot, and I'm willing to help you through thick and thin. And also, trust Taehyung and do whatever he says, they don't call him the one of the bests in the country for nothing." Yoongi said as he fully turned to face me. I reached out to hold one of his hands.
"Yoongi, I know that you'd always be here. And I also know that you mean every single thing that you say. But that's not what's upsetting me, that fact that my whole life has been a lie is. And because you're saying so, I'll invest all my trust in Mr. Kim."
"That's my girl." Yoongi said as a beautiful gummy smile infected his face.
"And about the fee, don't worry at all. I'll handle it." My eyes widened.
"What? No! I have some money in my account and a little bit that Sungho had transferred into mine, so I guess that'll do. Please don't help me anymore than you already are." I said in a breath.
"Munhee, when I say that I'm going to support you throughout, it doesn't only mean emotionally. I'm willing to help you as much as my status allows me to, and I'm not just saying that."
We had a little conflict about it, and Yoongi being Yoongi, ultimately won the war of words.
"Fine. But I'll make it up to you someday, okay?" I said as he smiled again.
"And I'll be waiting for that day." He murmured as he unfastened his seatbelt and exited the car.

I went ahead and deleted Mom and Dad's photos, their contacts and everything in between. I would've done this earlier if I had known that they were only my so-called parents.
"It's okay, Munhee. They deserve everything that's coming their way." Yoongi said as he caressed my head.
"Yoongi... who are my real parents?" I asked a question so sensitive, that even Yoongi seemed shook.
"Um... Go and sleep. We'll talk tomorrow." Yoongi avoided the subject and I couldn't help but keep quiet. Not that I could blame him.
I slowly got up and disappeared into the guest room. I laid on the bed, and I was deep in my sea of thoughts. Who were my parents? And most importantly, why did they give me up for adoption? Was I that much of a trouble? Of course I was. Why else would I have a legal notice in my drawer?
I cried for a bit, hiccuped for a while, tossed and turned around for a couple of times, and then ended up spending the night staring up at the ceiling.
