And it was the first day of the trial. The day of the hearing. To say that I was nervous and wrecked, would be a major understatement. I paced across the courtroom with my handcuffed wrist hand on my hip. I kept chanting to myself that it'd be fine, but then again it was just a self-encouragement.

Taehyung had informed me that everyone from our friend's group, from Jungkook to the Sori and her little daughter were gonna be present in the court. But he caused some relief in my veins when he said that since it was the first day, the day would only consist of jury and witness selection. I had no idea about who the witness was for me

"Don't worry. I'll be there for you." Taehyung spoke up as he placed a warm and comforting hand on my palm, to calm me down as I was vigorously pacing.

"How can I? And you're even refusing to tell me who the witness is and you-" He nodded and smiled with his eyes squeezed shut.

"I told you, things will fall into place. Card by card." He said as he turned towards his table to collect all the documents he was supposed to carry.

"Taehyung...?" He hummed without even looking at me.

"Things will be okay right? They will finally believe that I did not kill Sungho, right?" I asked as he stopped in his tracks and raised his head to face the wall in front him.

"That's what only you and I can hope for." He whispered, loud enough for me to hear.

I turned my head to look at my friends sitting in the audience. Jungkook with his encouraging, yet handsome smile. Yoongi with his witty and cute look. Namjoon with his curtly nod and to thumbs. Sori with her graceful smile. And lastly, Taehyung from his stand, with a serious facade.

"All rise. The court is now in session." The bailiff announced and everyone in the court stood up from their respective positions, as the judge walked in and instructed us to be seated.

"For the jury, this is a criminal case, number 78073." He said to the jury.

"Are the Defence Lawyer and the Prosecutor ready for the beginning?" The judge questioned.

I looked at the other side of the court to look at the prosecutor's seat which was vacant. Then I glanced at Taehyung who had his head bowed.

"No your Honour, the prosecution is not read-" Someone was informing the judge, in the while when then courtroom's door opened, revealing a lean figure of a guy, with strikingly handsome features.

"No, prosecution is ready. I'm sorry for the delay." The blonde guy who had just entered, I assumed him to be the prosecutor. He swung the brief gate between the audience and the witness' stand open and staggered inside. I glanced at Taehyung, who was glaring hard at the poor prosecuter, and it seemed like it was more than just a fury between lawyers.

"All well then. Let me ask the prosecution for their opening statement." The judge looked at the prosecutor who stood up with a mischievous smile, directed at me.

"Your honour, me being chosen as the prosecution of the case involving Mr. Lee Sungho's unfortunate death, I am accusing Ms. Lee Munhee for the murder of her brother, Mr. Lee Sungho." He looked at me with a dirty smile and I chose to avert my eyes from his ones.

"Very well, Mr. Park. Now, I would request the opening statement of the defense attorney, Mr. Kim." He smiled kindly at Taehyung, who stood up with that same furious face, but with a calmer surface.

"I, Mr. Kim Taehyung, being the attorney of the defendant Ms. Lee Munhee, would plead innocent." The judge nodded.

"Does the prosecution have any witness?"
