I looked up at the miscreant who blocked my path, and here I was, looking into the deep and expressing orbs of Jungkook. My oh my.
"Jungkook?" I felt my body trembling under his alluring gaze.
"Something tells me that you're not happy to see me." He chuckled.
"What? No! I'm really happy to see you. It's just that I'm intimidated." I told him as he narrowed his eyes.
"Oh I-I'm sorry I-" I broke into a fit of laughter now that it was his turn to tremble.
"I'm intimidated by the you were looking at me in there. That's a good thing, isn't it?" I said with a soft voice and I noticed the blood rushing to his cheeks.
"Anyways, you were saying something else?" I asked as he glanced behind me to see if anyone was looking, before returning his gaze on me.
"Um yeah. Would you like to accompany me to the terrace? I need some air" I cheekily smiled and nodded my head. "Let's go." He smiled as well so sweetly as he grabbed my wrist and softly pulled me towards the terrace.
"Red really suits you." Jungkook said as he held the door's handle open for me to exit before he followed behind me as well.
"Thank you, but you're the one who rocks every colour." He chuckled and nodded.
I walked over to a bench and placed myself on it, as I patted on the empty spot next to me for Jungkook to sit.
"How is the legal work going on?" He asked as I looked up at the bright and refreshing stars.
"It's nice. Mr. Kim is a real professional with an unique outlook to facts, you know?" He hummed. It was silent for a while, but I felt that it was a comfortable silence.
"By the way, how are you liking our group of friends?" I looked over at him and he was looking at me as well.
"I don't think that you guys are just mere friends. You guys seem more like a family. And what makes me the happiest is the love that you guys have for each other." He chuckled and looked down at his feet, as his hair fell onto his forehead.
"Yeah, we're a family. We've been with each other since like, forever." I looked at him and smiled.
"I wish I had a friend who I was so close with. But not going to lie, Yoongi has been the best friend that I could've ever asked for. And I'm going to be there for him if he needs me." I said as I stared at the sparkling stars reflecting in his eyes.
"You didn't have friends?"
"I did, once upon a time. A few of them, but I did have friends. But we grew up. And I realized that I needed to be someone else if I wanted to continue any friendship. But I didn't want to change. And why should I? To please others?" Jungkook turned his head and looked at me deep.
"It's so good that you didn't change, you know? I like this version of yourself better than the one they expected you to be. Most of all, I like the fact that you didn't change."
I chuckled and looked forward, taking in the view. The night sky indeed looked beautiful. How beautiful and bold, yet so secretive. How many broken hearts this night sky has seen. How many secrets this night sky has enfolded. How many tears this night sky has hidden.
"Hey, Munhee?" I raised my eyebrows and looked at him, who was already looking at me with soft eyes.
"Have you ever fallen in love?" I widened my eyes at the raven haired boy in front of me.
"Love is a... really strong word. I mean, I've grown close to a lot of people, you know? But I figured that it never works out." I looked at him and noticed that he had his eyes furrowed.
