Flashback

"I..I like you, like not as a friend. I like you like love" An 11 year old Draco said as he scratched his neck.

Y/n, a Hufflepuff Princess, scrunched her nose and looked at him. She giggled and kissed his cheeks.

"I like you too Draco. No need to be shy" she said and patted his cheeks. Draco grinned and hugged her, which she gladly returned it.

"But, will you wait? We're just kids." She said, as she broke the hug. Draco nodded and smiled

"Even if it takes years, I will wait for you"

Draco did his promise. Now it is his second year. He was looking for a certain y/h/c head. Once he saw her, reading he smiled to his self and knocked kn her compartment door.

"Do you mind of I slyther-in?" He asked, Y/n looked up and saw Draco. He changed a bit. Y/n jumped into his arms and smiled

"Miss me that much, darling?"

"Yes, even of we send owl to each other. And wow, you grew a few inches" Y/n teased and chuckles.

"I can say you're still short as ever"

"Hey!"

Y/n and Draco immediately click, but they weren't still not yet ready for the relationship. They made a promise to wait until they are both ready.

Which leads to third year. Draco is in the hospital wing, wincing in pain as the Hippogriff scratched his arms.

"Where's Draco?" Y/n asked one of his friends and pointed at his bed. Y/n immediately rushed to his bed and opened the curtains.

"Dray!" She exclaimed and dropped her bag on the floor.

"What happened to you?" She asked, Draco signaled his friends to leave, which they quickly understood.

"That bloody chicken almost killed me..If you could see what he did, you would be mad!" Draco whined. Y/n sighed and giggled.

She kissed Draco's cheeks and smiled "It will heal soon, darling. Be glad it wasn't your face, if not you wouldn't be handsome" y/n joked and he laughed.

"But it hurts" he said, planning to steal a kiss from her. She asked where and he pointed at his lips. She chuckles softly and peck his lips.

"I love you" he mumbled, it sends butterflies on Y/n's stomach. She smiled and kissed him again.

"I love you too" she said

Their relationship continues to bloom, yes small fights are there but in the end they reconcile.

Fourth year came. Y/n and Draco's relationship evolved. Everyone says they are meant to be, they are soulmates until Fifth year came

Flashback ends

"I fucking love you so much" he whispered and he tightened his grip on her body. She smiled and hugged him back.

"I love you too. I love you so much. But we have to break now" she said, she pulled out and wiped his tears. Draco disagreed and wanted her to stay.

But the timing, it's off. The timing is wrong.

"I can't. I can't live without you, you're my everything"

"Believe me Draco. You are my everything too, but it's so wrong. The timing is always wrong. We're somehow, caught in the middle" she explained. Draco sobbed and she wiped it.

"We are the right person for each other, but in the wrong time, we found each other but we aren't yet destined to be." She said. Those words pained Draco so much. He doesn't want to let go, and so did Y/n.

But they have to, if they continue it they would hurt each other in the end, and neither one of them wanted that to happen

"I promise, in our next life, I will find you darling. I will. I promise in our next life we would be together. And we can finally able to say, that we are right for each other in the right timing" she said and kissed him, he kissed back and hugged her

" I love you, please don't forget me" she whispered and he nodded

"Be happy okay" he nodded again. Y/n broke the hug and looked at him for the last time.

"Promise.."

"Promise" she said and left. While she was walking down, her tears won't stop spilling. Everything collapsed as they ended their relationship.

And no wonder, it became a hot topic on Hogwarts. Everyone was surprised that they broke up. No one knew why, but they were sad. They see them that they will end up with each other.

Their friends noticed how depressed they were. They pity them so much. But they knew that they are right for each other, but it's was a wrong time.

"It'll be alright, y/n/n." Blaise said, as he rubbed her back.

"You know what's funny? We already found each other but we aren't meant for each other. We are the right person for each other but the timing is off" she sobbed and wiped her tears as she rant out.

"Right person, wrong time" she added
