Draco's POV

"Okay, she said no" I heard Blaise said as he sat down next to me. I looked at Y/n who is talking to her friends and giggling.

"You need to man up Malfoy. You need to ask her before Potter does"

"Potter? Tss, as if Y/n will say yes. I just need more time" I mumbled and kept staring at her beauty.

Who wouldn't fall in love with her? She's kind, beautiful, friendly, lovable and she stands up for her friends. She never hold grudges. And she sees good in people.

"But you need to stop staring at her. Does she even know you?"

"Yes, I am her.. never mind. I'm going to the common room." I said and left the Great Hall.

Once I left, I groaned as I walk. I can never man up to ask. And how will I approach her if she always stares at me with those beautiful e/c eyes?

I sighed and went to my dorm and laid down. Thinking the date we had last year. And yes I asked her out. But only as a friend.

The very next day, I sat in the tree, watching Y/n from the distance. I could see her angelic smile, and it made my heart skipped a beat.

Of course, I also caught Potter. I smirked on my thought and decided to do a little show.

"Why so tense Potter?!" I called out and he looked at me, his face is really pathetic as he glared at me

"My father and I have a bet you see. I told him you weren't gonna last ten minutes" I snapped and climbed down, and smirked

"He disagrees. He thinks you're not gonna last five"

"I don't give a damn about what your father thinks Malfoy. He's vile and cruel and you're pathetic"

It made my blood boil as he insulted me, I mumbled pathetic as I grabbed my wand. But before I could hex him, Moody already turned me into a ferret.

"Professor! Stop it!" I heard Y/n's worried voice. In a matter of seconds I transformed back.

I looked at Moody and glared at him "My father will hear about this!" I hissed and ran away.

I left my goonies behind and ran away from humiliation.

"Draco!" I stopped when I heard a familiar voice. The footsteps are getting closer and I turned around. Y/n is in front of me, worried was painted kn her face

"A-are you alright?"

"Why do you care?" I snapped, and it was not okay. I should be relieved that she cared but I fucking snapped.

"I..uhm.. Well Moody did you dirty. So, yeah" she mumbled trying to find the right words, I smirked and she looked at me, and softly smiled.

"I probably looked like a fool earlier" I mumbled and she giggled, She grabbed my wrist and led me through Astronomy Tower.

I was confused as she mumbled spells on the door so no one could get in.

"Yeah, you were. But a dork too" she said and smiled.

"Why did you brought me here?"

"To ease your mind, Ferret" she teased and I rolled my eyes at her. She got her muggle things out and music started playing

"Take my hand" she demanded and I looked at her confused

"What-"

"Shut up and dance with me" she said and I nodded, cautiously. We started dancing and letting fun in.

And I never felt like this. This kind of adrenaline rush. It was exciting, butterflies are swarming in my stomach.

"Now, have you calmed down? Mr. Slytherin Prince?" She teased and I nodded. She smiled brightly and winked at me.

"I looked like a fool, right in front of everyone" I mumbled and she chuckled.

"Yeah, you were. My little fool" she giggled and I looked at her.

"Wait what?" I asked her confused and she rolled her eyes. "Yes, I'll be your date for the Yule Ball. Just wait for me right in front of the Great Hall, okay"

"Wait, how did you know, that I'm going to ask you?"

"Have you forgot that I have the art of Legilimens?"

Oh no.

"Oh yes. Now, don't forget it. See you later Dray" she said and kissed my cheeks, while I was left there stunned. For a moment.

I smiled to myself, throwing punches in the air as I dance, like a fool
