Many Reunions

"Hello!" Ash said while opening the large wooden gates of the laboratory. They entered the main hall of the laboratory which had red carpets, until they heard a voice. "Hey there," someone replied coldly to his greeting from the right side of the laboratory. When they all entered, the unknown man's gaze moved towards Clemont's face. The stranger wore a black jacket and a white shirt underneath it, as well as navy blue pants. He was quite tall compared to Ash, standing at 190 centimeters tall. His face looked rather sharp and somewhat hostile, with raven black straight hair as well as sharp blue eyes resembling the azure sky.

"Wait, are you Clemont?" the unknown figure asked. "Well, yeah! Nice to meet you again, Vasyl!" Clemont replied to him. Serena stepped closer to Clemont, and she asked "Wait, you know him?" to Clemont. "Well, yes" he answered. "He was my friend from my days as a student."

"Clemont, are these people your new friends?" Vasyl asked. "Yeah, I adventured with them five years ago. They returned two days ago," he replied. Vasyl then stared at them with curious eyes, and Serena's and Bonnie's face expressed discomfort.

"So Clem, why did you come here?" Vasyl asked him again. "Well, my sister's Dusknoir evolved without trade, can you explain why this happened?" Clemont inquired. Vasyl put his hand below his chin while thinking, but then he remembered an incident 5 years ago. The incident was of a trainer and his Greninja "uniting" into one in battle, which was presumed to be caused by Mega Evolution or Ability. This incident caused him to put a great interest in the bond between Pokemon and humans and its impacts.

"That Greninja... and this Dusknoir... they might have something in common. Both of these events were definitely caused by the bond between the trainer and the Pokemon," Vasyl said while his hand was still on his chin. Then, he walked up to Bonnie, while asking this question: "Hmm... what was your relationship with Dusknoir, exactly? How strong was your bond?"

"I'd say that our bonds are pretty strong, but not to the point that it could resemble Ash and Greninja. I mean, we met each other when he was a Duskull after his trainer abandoned him, and he became my Pokemon after that," she answered him. "Any special things that happened to you with your Dusknoir before?" he asked further. "Nope, not at all," she answered plainly.

"Ah... yeah, how did this happen, then?" Vasyl responded to the answer while facepalming. He backed off from everyone and went into a small room in the laboratory so that he could think about the possibilities, but he came back five minutes later while sighing. He asked the same question again, and Bonnie replied with a simple "I don't know too!" to him.

Vasyl sighed again, and walked away from the group. "Alright Clemont and everyone, wanna go see the renovated labs?" he said while extending his hand to them in an inviting manner. "Sure!" Serena replied. She proceeded to pull Ash's hand while dashing in Vasyl's direction. Everyone else followed them, while Serena's pace eventually slowed down and she let go of Ash's hand.

They walked away from the door of the laboratory along the red carpet, and they turned right towards a medium-sized chamber. It was around 10 meters by 16 meters in size, with tables filled with replicas of archaeological artifacts, colorful and several Pokepuffs. It had clean white walls and floorboards, and the sun was shining from a window in the opposite side of the entrance.

When Vasyl opened the iron door and came in, his Aromatisse and Spiritomb ran towards him and hugged him. "How have you been, Aromatisse, Spiritomb?" he said while hugging them. Aromatisse and Spiritomb softly sounded their cries, which contrasted to each other. Aromatisse had a feminine, high-pitched, but heavy sound, while Spiritomb's sound was deep and ominous.

After he hugged his Pokemon, everyone else entered his research chamber. Ash gasped in awe of Vasyl's lab, while Clemont only gazed at the equipment, chemical solutions, and papers scattered on the tables. Serena and Bonnie also gasped after Ash did so, and proceeded to look around the room.
