After their journey in space, Ash and his friends returned to their home planet. After five hours descending through the atmosphere, both spaceships landed on an empty field in Kalos, ten kilometers east of Anistar City. Beneath them, the grass in the wide glade waved with the wind coming out from the engines. Ash and his friends jumped out of the ship into the expansive fields as it landed. They then waved to the drivers for a farewell. They were returning to Mossdeep in Hoenn.
"Goodbye, Ash... Clemont...," he looked around, "and the others!" Sophocles said as he took off with his spaceship again.
"It was a pleasure conducting business with you," Mr. Devon Stone smiled at Alain, who smiled back at him.
And so, the ships left Kalos, back to their dockyard. They took two hours to reach there. While on the journey, the crew mostly fidgeted around, except for the pilot. Behind them, though, was Sophocles' spaceship. Both moved smoothly through space and entered the atmosphere, and after reaching Mossdeep, they walked out of their respective ships, returning to their usual life.
Meanwhile, the rest were stranded in the fields without any paths leading anywhere in sight. Thus, they laid down on the parts of the field next to the flowers for a nap. They got no more than four hours of sleep in the spaceship, not enough to compensate for the thirty hours of the raid.
Then, they rolled towards the shade of the tree next to them unconsciously. Ash's arms held on to Serena's, while Clemont laid his head on the same tree. Bonnie slept next to her brother, Calem's soldiers slept in a line together, while Vasyl slept far away from the others along with the assistants.
It was a grand oak tree embraced by vines, as old as the cannons buried beneath Vaniville.
As 3 PM rolled around, they woke up and decided to venture to the nearest town. Serena blushed after seeing Ash so close to her. After brushing the crimson out of her face, she proceeded to wake him and his friends up. After that, she looked at her map and saw a route to the southeast leading towards Anistar. She pointed this out to her friends, who were still rubbing their eyes after their slumber, and she faced that direction while saying:
"Let's go, everyone!" in an enthusiastic, high voice.
And so she led the group forward while they were only half-awake. When they fell back, she pulled them on. After fifteen minutes, they reached the dirt path and walked on it until they reached its end. They walked straight towards the city, and after hours, dusk fell on the metropolis of the sundial. Fatigued after the journey, the adventurers decide to rest inside a Pokemon Center.
There, they handed in their Pokemon to Nurse Joy. They needed it, for they had battled tooth and nail against Team Rocket in space. The nurse and her Wigglytuff walked deeper into the center to treat the Pokemon. Ash and his friends waited and ate dinner in the center, and an hour later, Wigglytuff returned their Pokeballs.
"Thanks a lot for that," Ash said to the nurse.
"No problem, we hope you will come again to us if anything happens!" she reassuringly replied.
"Anyways, as that's settled..." the boy walked toward his friends and gave them their Pokeballs, "Where are we gonna sleep?"
"This center, I suppose," Vasyl answered.
"There's quite a lot of us, though..." Mathieu disagreed, "That means half of us are gonna sleep on the floor."
"I don't think that that would be too bad, honestly!" Bonnie exclaimed, "I mean, we did that at Serena's house!"
"Bonnie, we have more people here!" Clemont argued, "We'll be stacked on top of each other..."
"Ugh, fine..." she reluctantly sighed.
