Chapter 16

The ship was sailing in the seas of Neverland, Hook was at the helm and suddenly Regina realized that the ship was slowing down. She left her daughter's side and turned to him:

" Why are we slowing down? In case you didn't know my son's and granddaugther 's lives are in danger." said ironically.

"Oh, I know, my hotheaded Queen. My plan is to bring us to the far side of the island, link up with the widest part of the river. Then we sail rightthrough and take him by surprise.  The irony." said Hook shaking his head while thinking about something.

"What irony?" asked Catherine, as she approached the two people at the helm.

"Oh. I spent more time than i care to remember tryng to leave this place and to kill Rumplestiltskin. And here i am, sailing right back into its heart with him as my guest of honor." 

Catherine looked at hook and said: "I know how you feel, I never thought you'd come back to this place after so long. I've had the best and worst moments of my life here, it's hard to come back,it seems i never leaved" she said as she lowered her head. Regina looked at her daughter  sadly, she had suffered a lot here and she couldn't do nothing to helpe her . She put her hand on her arm trying to comfort her.

Regina was about to say something but looked at her daughter and fell silent.

"Yes?" asked Catherine confused.

" Greg Mendell said something funny to me. He said i'm a villain and that villains don't get happy endings. You believe that?" Regina asked Hook, but but in reality she was asking to her daughter, she really thought that her mother was a villain and that she would never be happy.

Catherine looked at her, not knowing what to say, her mother had done unforgivable things for a long time. It would still take people a while to see the new Regina that her mother was trying to show.

Hook looked at the two women and said as he maneuvered the ship:

"I hope not ou we've wasted our lives." said look to the to womens.

While Hook and Regina looked at the horizon, Catherine was paying attention to the discussion that was going on below the ship, Emma was arguing with her parents. Until Gold interrupted:

"No, you won't."

"Oh, well, that's a great use of our  time wardrobe change." said hook making fun of him.

" i'm going get henry and hope." said Gold.

"We agreed to do this together." said Regina firmly.

"Actually, we made no such agreement." 

"Gold, why you doing this?" asked Catherine heading towards him.

"Because i want to succeed." looked at Catherine and she sighed at the boldness and confidence of that man.

"What makes you think i'm gonna fail?" asked Emma to him.

Gold smile ironically to her " How could you not? You don't believe in your parents or in magicor even yourself..."

"Gold..." warned Catherine.

"I slayed a dragon. i think i believe." said Emma Firmly.

"Only what was show to you. When have you ever taken a real leap of faith? You know, the kind where there's bsolutely no proof. I've known you some time, Ms Swan , and sadly, despite everything you've been through, you're still just that bail bondsperson. Looking for evidence. Well, dearie, that's not gonna work in Neverland." 

Catherine could no longer hear the great speech that man was in and interrupted:" You still need to explain to me how you know so much about Neverland and stop tormenting the poor girl, it's normal for her to feel that way it's not easy to be in a world where you have to face all the nightmares alone and  discover that a world that only exists in books exists."

" I'll do whatever it takes."

"Or you just need someone to tell you what that is. Sorry, dearie, our foe is too fearsome for hand-holding  and neverland is the place where imagination runs wild  and yours doesn't."

Rumple finishes and twirls his cane and disappears leaving everyone baffled, least of all the two brown-haired women.

"Where is he going?" asked Snow.

"He's going to try to stand up to the person who has our kids, we have to go faster if I know him this isn't going to go well for us. Pirate get this bunch of dicks moving faster before I have to." said Catherine as she walked away from people trying to get her thoughts in order.

Hook only had time to reply "Yes my princess." and returned to maneuver the ship.

Regina looked at Snow briefly and she signaled him to go talk to her daughter, Regina rolled her eyes at Snow's gesture and followed her daughter to the other end of the ship.

Catherine was looking at the large island in front of her, when she felt someone beside her, it was not necessary to look to know that she was her mother. Ever since we boarded, Regina hadn't left Catherine alone for a moment.

"I want to be left alone." said Catherine still not looking at Regina.

"I know so, but you don't have to be going through this alone, I know what it's like to have a child taken away from me."

"Do you know?! How do you know?! On the day I was born, you barely touched me, put on me, I was taken away from you and you didn't even fight for it not to happen... you just let me go as if I were a expendable thing."

"Honey.."

"No, don't teach me how to be a mother, I was there for my daughter always in the first steps, in the first words, in the first smile, on the first day of school, when she was sad... I always protected her from everything. .. and I never gave up on her for a second...." said Catherine as she had tears wanting to run down her eyes.

Regina looked at her sadly, her daughter couldn't forgive her for what she had put her through, but as she promised Henry, she would show that she changed that she could be a good person now.
