The Apocalypse Love

Welcome

Once I started to drive everyone looked si confused. Carl came up to come and see me.

" Hey Claire what are you doing driving." Carl asked sitting next to me.

" Oh I thought Glenn could use a break...and I know somewhere we can camp out around here." I said with a smile.

" Really... how?" Carl asked looking confused.

" Carl I grew up around here." I said as if it was obvious.

" Oh...so where are we headed?" Carl said still looking confused.

" I'm not going to tell you until we get there its gonna be a surprise." I said smirking.

" Oh come on not even a hint. Come on tell me." Carl begged.

" No." I said laughing at Carl.

" I hate you." He said crossing his arms across his chest.

" Love you to." I said smiling." Go get some rest we won't be their for like another hour."bumbing him in the shoulder.

" Okay... love you." Carl said leaving but kissing me on the cheek first.

" Love you." I said looking through the rear view mirror.

Everyone fell asleep well that's what I thought. Until Rick came up to see me. He sat next to me where Carl was previously sitting.

" Hey Rick what can I do for Yay." I said while making a left turn.

" I just wanted to talk to you." Rick said looking out the window.

" Okay what did you want to talk about?" I asked turning to him for a second then focusing my attention back to the road.

" I wanted to know where you are taking us you aren't telling anyone I was just wondering." Rick said looking somewhat worried.

"Well okay but don't tell anyone just yet... we're heading back to where I was camping at the whole start of the apocalypse when my family and I left everything was going good there so I just hope that it still is." I said turning to the right this time.

" I hope your right I hope it's still going good there because it would be really nice after what just happened." Rick said with a small smile.

" one more thing my old camp my grandpa sort of runs it. We left because he made us he didn't agree with something my dad did and he said get out to my dad. He said my mom and my sisters and I could stay but we didn't want my dad to be alone." I said with tears flowing down my cheeks.

" Why didn't you come back sooner." Rick asked quietly.

" I didn't want to until it was my last option my grandpa did say you will come crawling back at some point and I didn't want to show him he was right being the stubborn person I am." I said with a little laugh.

" I'm sure everything will be fine your grandpa isn't going to care that he was right he will be happy to see you and he isn't going to care about the rest." Rick said trying to make me feel  better.

" I hope your right because we're here." I said pointing out the window to a gated community with guards on the fence. Looks like everything is going good around here. Now I just have to face my grandpa oh joy. Note the sarcasm.
