Chapter 3: Comin' To You

The next morning, the two went back to work and things are just the same. Y/n is still distant making Suzy more frustrated than she already is. But should she talk to her about it again? No, telling by how their conversation ended last night it was clear that the younger one is upset.

Suzy badly wants to tell her that, 'Your Mina has been asking of you through Jeongyeon and Nayeon at times when you were having your therapy when you went for an eye surgery.' but she did promised the managers of TWICE not to tell a soul about it, in accordance to the agency's decisios, and also if she tells her she'd lose Y/n, now that she have gotten more fond of the younger girl.

She was being selfish, she is. And reason why she keeps it from telling Y/n to come up and take matters to her own hand is because she wants to test her if she really likes the idol.

She wants to know that even if the idol doesn't reach out to her she'll still come to her, that is, if she really likes her.

And last night, she just fueled Y/n. The younger one finally let out what she truly feels, that she's really upset about not getting a single word from Mina after all the things they've went through.

She felt guilty, extremely guilty. She really wants to tell her the truth but... If she tells her now, she might not be able to see her again. She'll hate her.

'If you can't have her then at least look around you Y/n. I'm here, can't you see me?'

There's no way. There's just no way Y/n would look at her the way she looks at Mina. Y/n is just too scared, lacks confidence and tends to worry about what others will think but she knows Y/n badly want that Myoui girl and to make her forget about her will take a long time.

She watched her fangirl over the group, she's seen her swoon over that certain young japanese woman, and she knows her infatuation is not as simple as singing a song with comfortable key, not as shallow as a puddle, not as short-lived like a song, and not as easy as formulatimg an equation.

She knows Y/n and she knows exactly what she wants and it's clearly not her.

Suzy closes her eyes for a second before walking up to Y/n who walked inside the kitchen.

"Y/n." the latter turns around to meet her gaze.

"Is it still not done yet? I'm already hungryy.." said the eldest in the room, she sat on the table along with the rest of the members except Jeongyeon who is working on their breakfast, swiftly moving around the kitchen. Gladly, she was able to make breakfast even without the help of their manager.

"Can I like.. watch the telly for a bit? The food's not done and my favorite cartoon is on—"

"No wait." Dahyun got cut off by Chaeyoung who desperately pushed her back on her seat.

They all looked at Chaeyoung except Mina who is silent the whole time. Chaeyoung couldn't feel any more guilty than she already is just by looking at that downcast look on the older girl.

Jeongyeon gave them a quick glance before placing the fried rice on the table, followed by bacons, fried eggs, sausages, spam and toasted bread.

Chaeyoung watches the older one as she places the food, once done Jeongyeon looked at Chaeyoung with hand placed on her hips, as if telling her, 'Go on.' The others can tell that she have something important to say so they waited. And it was nerve-wracking for Chaeyoung's case.

Chaeyoung grunted and said,
"Just eat first then I'll talk." then they all tore her eyes from her and started picking up their own utensils, Chaeyoung simply took a glance at the certain japanese girl who is taking sips on a glass of water.
