Chapter 12: Circumstances

Good thing TTT have ended, Mina wouldn't have to make a leave so she could visit her homecountry. She got a call from her mother about an urgent matter, it was all too sudden, she didn't even know what to feel about it. After they got back to their dorm after that afternoon their managers booked her a flight so she could leave the country by tomorrow afternoon. She appreciates that because she doesn't know how to do them all by herself in this state.

She got picked up by Yato and drive her to their home back in Ashiya, Kobe [1] for her quarantine. She doesn't know what feel, really.

The moment when her mother told her that her father was not well and rushed to the hospital, she got really worried, her hands got cold and her stomach churned. Yes, she hates him for meddling with her life that doesn't mean she want him gone.

'I just wanted you to accept me.'

Mina, silently sobbed as she sat at the edge of her bed. She's alone at the mansion at the moment, her mother and brother is out in the Osaka hospital to check on her father for the meantime although not really getting much access since his case is not known as of now.

Two weeks have passed so painfully slow for Mina, shw is still yet to know the tests that they ran on her father. She just hopes it's not the malevolent virus these days. Waiting for the end of her self quarantine and for her father's test result. And now she's readying herself to leave, she called Yato to pick her up and to drop her off to the hospital. Once arrived, she got greeted by her mother and brother's downcast expression. Her mother though forced a smile and pulled her in for a hug.

She caught her mother's gleaming eyes but said nothing to that,
"How was your trip, honey?" they sat on the chair and decided to talk.

"It was fine. I'm fine okaasan don't worry about me. What about you? Have you guys eaten already?" Mina dismissed the topic about herself and directed it to them instead, she looked back to her brother who stood next to their chair, leaning his bsck on the wall.
"I already went out to buy us some takeouts but mom wouldn't even eat." Kai said monotonously.

Mina shifted her attention back to her mother and gave her a slight stern look.
"I was waiting for you." the woman reasoned.

"Please take care of yourself too. I don't want anyone else getting ill.." the woman sighed at Mina's tired look. She's no doubt, physically, emotionally and mentally tired and this comes up too.

"I understand. I was thinking honey." Mina sighed and looked down on her hands on her knees.

"Try not to think about it too much, whatever the results will be I know he'll make it." Sachiko, her mother took seconds to think what to say to that.

"I wasn't thinking about that." Mina darts her eyes up to meet her mother's. "He's strong and I know he'll make it but, I was thinking of something else."

Mina furrowed her eybrows, not sure what her mother is referring to.
"I was thinking about you."

Mina raised her eyebrows in confusion and said,
"Me? What about me? I'm fine there mom, I'm—" Mina let out a chuckle at the end of her sentence but was cut off when she saw her mother looked behind her. She followed her gaze, not to mention she also heard hurried steps came into a stop.

Those familiar dark brown eyes. If Kai didn't spoke up Mina would've been staring at it all day. She snapped out of it and looked away, not wanting to engage any conversation with Y/n, at all.

"Mina." came her voice but she ignored it, Kai was the one who approached her and said,
"And what are you doing here?"

"I.. I was just.. I wanted to talk to her." Mina ignored her still, eyes staring off behind her mother who is looking at her in worry.
