Chapter 7: Setting One Free(?)

[Outside the General Hospital/Philippines]

"Ano? Anong pinagsasabi mo? Nandito si mama sa bahay nagluluto." (What? What are you talking talking about? Mom's at home cooking.) said Mark with a confused tone. Y/n scratches the back of her head, so does that mean she just got pranked? She came all the way here for nothing?

"Ganun ba? Akala ko kasi.." (Is that so? I thought..) she's just glad that nothing bad happened to their mother. She was sweating cold a while ago but now she's just glad nothing is wrong.

"Napagtripan ka ata Y/n. So, ibig sabihin mag-isa ka lang diyan?" (You just got pranked Y/n. So, does that mean you're all alone there?)

"Oo eh. Pero babalik nalang ako." (Yeah, but I'll just get back.) she heard her brother hum. Then the idea of telling her brother about her and Mina pops up in her mind but she contemplated.

"Edi mag ingat ka pabalik Y/n." (Then take care on your way back Y/n.)

"Yeah, I will. Thanks." then she ends the phone call. She placed a hand over her chest and heaved a deep sigh. Thank God nothing bad happened. She's really gonna flick whoever pranked her just now in the head. She nearly had a heart attack out of worrying too much.

Now she feels sorry for Mina for leaving her all so sudden without her notice, she's gonna need to explain it to her once she gets back home. Now, about going back home, it got delayed because of some bad luck, it never happened go Y/n before whenever she takes flight. She watches the plane from afar which is being checked up on by the crews. From time to time she'd check the time on her wristwatch.

She sent Mina lots of messages, explaining to her why she had to leave all of a sudden but she didn't get a single reply, but she didn't pay it much attention. Maybe she's just sulking that she didn't even tell her about it.

'I'm sorry if I didn't tell you where I was going, I'm sorry if I made you worry. I'm sorryyy' she then sent it. But again, no reply. She sighed and pouts, letting her phone sit for a while, she really needs to explain it to her.

"Why is the bride taking so long?" Akira heard some of the few guests they invited on the private marriage of Mina and Yato say.

Kai was there too, sitting next to his parents, he doesn't look pleased at all, as much as he doesn't want to see Mina getting married of to the guy he hated, he needed go show up to please the other family.

The corner of his eye twitched as he watches the good looking man before them as much as he doesn't want to admit that. That charming smile, the reason why his ex girlfriend left him. The world is small indeed.

Without his parents knowing, he slipped out of the scene and went to the bride's changing room. He knocked first before walking in.

There he saw something he was expecting to see, Mina sitting on her chair face in her palms as she cried silently. He hates to see her this way. He sighed and went up to her, placed a hand on her shoulder and gave it a comforting caress.

Her gown was beautiful, she looks so beautiful but all for the wrong person. He just stood there, giving her a comforting gesture.

Mina then finally lifts her face from her palms and looked up to her older brother and said,
"Aren't you going to tell me to go out?" she croaked, she seeks for her brother's eyes but the latter was looking forwar, he shook his head and said simply.
"No."
