(Note: My headcanon for entities is pretty much the same as 0luv0love0's with a few tiny additions. With that in mind, this chapter is not going to be as detailed as the other chapters, instead of focusing on the general principle of the entities and the few additions that I came up with for them. If you want more detailed information about entities, please refer to Luv's book "Info Book [Nazi Brother Series]" under the chapters: "Types of Entities" and "The Entity-Line")
If you have read the other chapters, then you know that not all countryhumans are countries. There are currently five known types of countryhumans: country, militant, special, insurgent, and full-time. Before we get into the types of entities, there are a few things to go over first.
First, countryhumans are very long-lived beings, they don't age the same way humans do. Countryhumans do experience childhood and adolescence the same way, but once they reach adulthood they pretty much stop aging and don't die from old age (countryhumans can die but we will discuss that some other time).
Countryhumans can have children, though the relationship doesn't need to be a man and a woman to reproduce (Mandara and Poland are both males, but they had Poldara anyway, we don't talk about how). Countryhumans are also not limited to loving the same type of entity that they are, for example, in Luv's book Wehrmacht loves Ireland, but they are different entities. And taking the non-canon ship kid Iremacht as an example as well, countryhumans can have kids with different entities.
When it comes to countryhumans interacting with humans, things get complicated. Since countries and entities don't age like humans, they always end up outliving the people around them or to whom they have grown close to. For this reason, countryhumans try to keep from developing close ties to humans, both friendships and relationships, there are a few cases where countries and entities have adopted human children but like mentioned previously, the human always dies while the countryhuman keep living.
I think that settles countryhumans as a whole, now let's look at the different types:
Country:
Countries are the most well-known of the five and are technically considered entities. A country is the physical personification of one of the 195 nations on earth (this does not include fictional countries like Wakanda, or OC countries like Mandara), and will have the flag of said nation on their face. A country has absolute jurisdiction of their nation, but that doesn't always mean they control the humans that reside in their nation. For the most part, countries will shy away from interfering with the lives of humans too much and will focus mostly on nation-scale economics and relations to other countries. Countries can actually be divided into three subcategories, or classes: kingdom, empire, and country. The subcategories pretty much explain themselves, if the nation that the countryhuman controls is a kingdom, empire, or country, then that countryhuman will take on that title. It is possible to fall under two subcategories, i.e. Japan is a country and an empire, UK is a country and a kingdom, and Prussia was a kingdom and an empire.
Examples of countries: Mandara, Kazakhstan, Ussr (he is a bit tricky to place, technically speaking, he should be a full-time entity since he is the personification of an organization that had several countries under its rule, like UN or EU, but in the countryhumans fandom he is widely accepted as a country.)
Militant:
Militants are the personifications of a country's military force and are typically referred to as the supreme general of the army they control. Every country has at least one militant entity, but some of the bigger ones may have several depending on how their military is designed, i.e America has four militants for his four branches of the military. Like special and full-time entities, militants have a signature black eye or "entity eye", militants have the eye on the right side and it is a symbol that they are entities rather than countries, which the latter has two normal eyes (most of the time). Militant entities are not born the way they are, but there are two ways to become one. First, if a country has siblings, then they will often become militant or special entities. Second is a human can become an entity, no one knows how it is done because the entities are made to swear into secrecy, but it is known that full-time entities, specifically UN, are somehow involved. Militants are dependent on their countries to survive, this is because of something called "the entity-line", if you want to know what that is and how it works, please refer to Luv's info book. To keep things short, if the country is healthy then the militant and/or special entity is healthy, and if a militant's/special's country dies or severs the entity line, then the entity will die if they don't reestablish a new one.
Examples of militant entities: Mandara Army, Wehrmacht, Bundeswehr
Special:
When it comes to special entities, they are typically considered the secret agents of the countryhumans. Identified by the left entity eye, special entities control secret organizations and special programs. They will create spy networks, develop secret weapons, and work behind the scenes to monitor national security. Like militants, specials depend on their country to survive, so they make sure to protect the country from enemies and obey their orders to keep the entity-line from being severed. Not all countries have special entities, most of the time militant entities are capable of handling the same things that special entities do, with large and/or powerful countries typically having them.
Examples of special entities: Schutzstaffel, FBI, CIA
Full-Time:
Full-Time entities are the peacekeepers of countryhumans, working "full time" on international relations and cooperation between countries. Unlike countries, militants, and specials, full-timers are not "born" per se, they sort of just appear. No one has ever seen a full-time entity appear so no one knows how it happens, and the entities have refused to reveal anything when interviewed. Also unlike the other two entities that sport black eyes, full-timers (which have two and a glowing transparent replica of the symbol on their face that floats above their head like a halo) do not depend on a country to survive, they depend on multiple. Full-time entities are personifications of global or continental organizations, and the more countries that join that organization, the more powerful the entity becomes, but if it loses countries, the entity will grow weaker until they eventually die. The way a country joins a full-time entity's organization is quite similar to how a country connects with a militant or special, the country and entity must make physical contact, typically holding hands. When physical contact is made, the full-time entity will create an entity-line to the country and when that happens the country will feel an electric shiver run throughout their body, and the entity's floating symbol will emit a bright glow for a few seconds before dimming back down to a shimmer. The entity-line that connects the country to the full-timer is a one-way connection, the country is completely unaffected by the line, whereas the entity grows stronger and gains an awareness of what goes on in that country's nation, i.e. if tension arises between that nation and another, the entity can sense it and try to prevent things from getting out of control. Both country and entity can sever the line, with the former being the most likely.
Examples of full-time entities: UN, EU, NATO, LoN
Insurgent:
Just like the name suggests, an insurgent is an entity that it's main goal is to overthrow a country. The insurgent is the leader of a rebel alliance and there are two ways one is created. First, the militant or special entity of a country severs their entity-line with their country, with the militant being the most likely to do it. When this happens, the signature black eye disappears and the entity becomes an insurgent, to learn more about the process, please refer to Luv's info book. The second way an insurgent appears is that enough unrest is created within a nation that one simply appears, much like how a full-time entity appears. The objective of the insurgent is to overthrow the country, if they succeed then they become the new country, if they fail then one of two things happen, they either die from execution or on their own or if they were a militant or special entity and the country is feeling merciful, then they could be given a second chance as the country's entity, though they will be closely monitored in case they try to pull a turncoat again.
Examples of insurgents: Confederate States of America, Polish Underground State, Ukrainian Insurgent Army (this one depends on who you ask, I actually consider him a militant, but I put him here because he has insurgent in his name)
