K: UPA managed to grab Mandara's hand, realizing at that moment that his wings couldn't support the extra weight. So he pulled Mandara close, wrapping his arms around the other as he spread his wings out, trying to catch as much air under them to slow the fall, knowing that it would be a rough landing.
He could feel the wind ripping around his wings, but he could also feel them slowing just enough for him to angle them, flapping them a few times, straining as he managed to slow their descent. He saw the ground coming and braced for impact, holding Mandara tighter as he closed his eyes and managed to roll slightly in the air, pulling his wings in and forward just feet from the ground, dropping the rest of the way. The way he had moved causing his shoulder to hit the ground first, losing his grip on the other as he grunted and slightly rolled.
M: Mandara opened his eyes as UPA pulled him close to his body. He knew full well that the militant wasn't going to be able to carry them both, so he tried to flap his good wing to help slow the fall but with UPA holding him he was unable to. He then felt himself being held tighter as UPA flipped around in the air, he too closed his eyes before they hit the ground.
Once they hit, Mandara immediately had the wind knocked out of him as he fell out of the other's hold. Mandara's head was spinning and he was having trouble catching his breath but as he lay on his side he could faintly see UPA lying on the ground a few feet from him.
K: UPA groaned as he slowly sat up, rubbing his shoulder, he was slightly swaying, his mind spinning from the impact. After a moment he regained his composure, glancing over at Mandara "You okay?" He asked, slightly grimacing, he knew he'd be bruised after that.
M: Mandara looked at him, he was still dizzy from apparently hitting his head when they fell, and when he tried to answer he only let out a soft groan. The one thing he could do however was softly vibrate his feathers to hopefully tell UPA that he was ok.
K: He let out a soft hum in response, wincing slightly as he moved his wings. UPA grunted as he moved to get up, struggling since he didn't have anything to hold onto as he tried to stand.
M: Mandara didn't like the way UPA hummed at him, was he mad that they fell? After a moment the dizziness started to subside so he slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position and placed a hand on his head in a futile attempt to stop the pain. When he did this he felt that something was missing, his eyepatch. At first, he thought he lost it in the fall, but then he remembered that he took it off and put it in his pocket when he first went outside, which meant that his blind eye has been visible this whole time. With this revelation in mind, he quickly covered his face with his good wing, completely forgetting about his injured wing, or the fall, or if UPA was mad at him, all that mattered at that one point was keeping his eye hidden.
M: (here's a little page break to see what MA is doing when Mandara and UPA fell, which will be relevant later.)
Mandara Army was still inside the WATCH building having another arm-wrestling contest with Russia. They both had won three games and this last one would determine who was the strongest. Russia was really determined to win, especially after Mandara embarrassed him in front of everyone. MA on his part wasn't focused on the contest, he was more interested in the country that he saw was sitting next to Mandara. After what happened with Ussr, MA was very protective of Mandara, especially around countries he didn't know.
When the last match was about to start, MA looked over to the table his brother was at before, only to see that he and the mystery country weren't there. MA's overprotective senses were going off like bombs and he was worried that something happened to him, but he couldn't look for him because Russia was ready and waiting, so MA reluctantly took his hand and initiated the match.
As the match dragged on, MA gained the upper hand and was literally inches away from victory, but then there was a sudden sharp pain in his left-wing. MA yelped in pain, which gave Russia the distraction he needed to beat the militant. The spectators erupted in screams, some cheering for Russia, but most in frustration that MA lost when he was so close to winning, but that was the least of his concern. MA was now getting scared because the last time he felt a pain like that was when Ussr broke Mandara's wings, so he jumped out of his chair and ran to find his brother, leaving all the countries watching him very confused.
