Chapter 15: Reconnected

"Admit it Russia, we're lost." Kazakhstan groaned, "I thought you said you knew where they lived."

Kazakhstan and Russia were driving through the streets of Krenbridge, looking for Mandara and MA's house.  MA had invited them to come over and help him cheer up Mandara since he knew that his brother was close with Kaz.  It was Kaz's idea to bring along Russia, but he was regretting it the more they drove around in circles.

"Rus, we've already been down this street, I told you to take a left," Kaz whined again, which made Russia's eyes glow with irritation.

"Kazakhstan!  Will you just shut up and let me drive!" he barked, but Kaz snapped back,

"I will when you get a sense of direction!" Russia growled at him but said nothing further, not wanting to continue the pointless bickering, which was fine with Kaz.

Thirty minutes of wandering and yelling later, the two finally found the house and wasted no time pulling into the driveway and jumping out of the car.  Kazakhstan immediately spread out his cramped wings and flapped them a few times, nearly smacking Russia in the process.  Russia scowled at him for almost whacking him in the face, but when Kaz playfully nudged him and tried to pull a puppy-dog face, he couldn't help but smirk a bit.

Before Kaz and Rus even got to the front door, it was opened and two large dogs ran out to greet them.  Kaz was able to jump/fly out of the way in time, while poor Russia was body-slammed by 144 lbs. of fluff and love.

"HEY!!  FLURRY, TANK, DOWN NOW!!!" MA yelled at the mutts as they drowned their new friend in kisses, all the while Kaz busted his ass laughing at Russia from up a tree.  Rus on the other hand was not really appreciating the warm welcome as he desperately tried to keep them from crushing him.  MA eventually got the pooches under control and off of Rus, who just lay on the ground and tried to processes the fact that he almost died to two dogs.

"You alive down there?" MA chuckled as he pat the dogs.

"No.  I see a light, I'm gonna go towards it." Russia dramatically responded before sitting up. While MA helped him up, Kaz fluttered down from his perch, still laughing at what just transpired.

"What's going on out here, did the dogs get a hold of someone again?" someone asked, Kaz and Rus turned to the doorway of the house and saw a country walkout, a country they haven't seen in five years.  Kaz immediately ran up to Mandara and enveloped him in a large hug, burying his face into his shoulder.  "Kazakhstan, is that you?" Mandara said surprised, the last time he saw Kazakhstan was when he was still being held prisoner by Ussr, and that was when Kaz had his communist flag, but now he was barely recognizable with his new blue and gold flag.

"Yeah, it's me, and Russia's here too," Kaz said as he let go of Mandara and gestured to his brother, who waved up at the two.  Mandara smiled and waved back, he then turned back to Kaz,

"Look at you, finally in charge of your own country, and your flag, I hardly recognized you." Kaz chuckled at his friend's admiration of him, but was interrupted by MA and Rus walking up to them,

"I hate to spoil the reunion, but why don't we show our guests inside," MA suggested, to which Mandara nodded and so the four of them, plus the dogs, all went inside.
