Darren's P.O.V.

By the way the air was getting colder I knew that Jelsa/JJ was nearby, I stepped out into the courtyard and saw her making her way to the castle on Ash's back. Wren and Drecker flanked her sides. When they got close enough Jelsa/JJ slid off of Ash's back a smirk playing on her lips.

"My dear cousin Darren, how is everyone? I trust the Queen is doing well." She said. It was obvious that JJ was in control. I gritted my teeth.

"How dare you come back here, after, after what you've done." I said. JJ smiled.

"Darling, I have no regrets, it was simply an obstacle to pass for my father. After all I am heir to the throne. And I'm so young, I think my father, Pitch, could take much better care of the kingdom, don't you think?" She asked as if it was humorous. I growled and drew my sword. I pointed it at her throat.

"I should kill you right now and do us all a favor." I said.

"Oh but darling, you can't do that without killing your poor innocent cousin as well." She said. She smiled and put a finger on the tip of my sword, pushing it away. Then she winked and turned away from me. She strolled over to the doors and went inside that castle, leaving a trail of slick black ice behind her. I seethed my sword and followed her. She went straight to Elsa's old study and sent servants to find the rest of the family, which even included Ollie who was barely even seven. I was glaring at JJ when my family came in, Mom was dressed in all black which was weird for her, but we were all dressed in black attire because of the mourning period we were in for my Aunt. Shelby and her parents came. Shelby came over and put a hand on my arm.

"Darren, calm down, you're going to give yourself a heart attack or something and I'm going to have to heal you geez." She said. I took a few breathes as I tried to calm down but JJ would smirk every time and make me angry all over again. Finally when Olaf got here JJ grinned and clapped her hands.

"Good now we can begin." JJ said.

"Father, you can come out now." She said and then Pitch Black, the manifestation of fear itself appeared. Ollie started crying, he only remembered Pitch for one thing, he had killed Ella. There was a flicker in JJ's eyes that wasn't her emotion, it was Jelsa's rage. She hated Pitch because of Ella just as much as the rest of us. A storm began to form in her eyes as Jelsa seemed to fight for control. JJ quickly put Jelsa down and picked up a piece of paper.

"This form allows my as heir and now queen of Arendelle to hand over my position to another person whether they be male or female." JJ said she wrote something down and put her signature on it.

"Right here it says that whomever signs this as well shall be my heir, in other words once I give up power they will rule Arendelle." JJ said and handed the feather pen to Pitch. My eyes widened. I drew my sword and found myself backed up by Eugene, Shelby's dad, as he drew his sword. I jumped forward onto the table and slashed at Pitch who simply turned to dust every time the blade went through him. The commotion caused JJ to back away and trip, only to be knocked out cold by Rapunzel's frying pan. I managed to get Pitch away from the paper and to knock the pen from his grasp. I slammed my foot into his chest and he flew out of the window which had not been my intention. I looked out to see him vanish before he hit the ground. I felt something push my back and went tumbling out the window but managed to grab hold of the window sill. I lifted myself up high enough to see back into the study. Everyone was knocked out cold except for Shelby who had her frying pan gripped tightly in her hand. She turned to face me and I saw that her green eyes were now an amber color and that veins of black sand were crawling along her skin. I knew by the look in her eyes she was going to come over and smack me right out of the window. I struggled to pull myself to safety as she got closer. She raised her frying pan and I closed my eyes waiting for the impact of the pan when I heard a defiant yell. I opened my eyes to see Jelsa ram into Shelby and knock her off balance. She froze Shelby's hands to the floor and grabbed my arms.

"Nobody kills my cousin." Jelsa said and pulled on my arms. My feet scraped the wall as I tried to help her pull me up.

"How did she take them all out so fast?" I breathed heavily.

"Shelby's got more combat skills than we give her credit for." Jelsa said trying not to show how exhausted she was. Finally we managed to get me high enough that I could pull myself up to sit on the sill. I swung my legs back into the study and sighed. Shelby was screaming her head off and actually cracking the ice Jelsa had put on her hands. Blood thirst was in her eyes as Jelsa pulled me away so I didn't look at her. It hurt to see Shelby that way. Jelsa put the feather pen in my hand and I looked at her.

"Jelsa?" I asked. Jelsa's eyes were so sad.

"Sign the paper, then the throne will go to you, please, Darren I don't trust myself to take care of Arendelle. When JJ tries something again, I may have to freeze her heart...and that'll mean...that my heart freezes too. Take care of everyone. And please build me a snowman." Jelsa said. I thought there were tears in her eyes but I couldn't see real well through my own.

"Jelsa, you'll be fine." I said wiping away my tears. Jelsa's met mine.

"Just sign it for me. Then I have one less thing to worry about." She said. I nodded.

"Okay." I said and quickly scribbled my name on the sheet. I dropped the pen and made sure Jelsa was okay before we went around and checked on everyone else. All the while Shelby was still screaming her head off at us. She kept yelling and the things she had to say I don't wish to repeat. Then Jelsa had us all leave and she took care of Shelby.

Shelby's P.O.V.

It was so dark, as I watched Darren and Jelsa struggle to get Darren to safety. Then they took care of everyone, and they left, I could hear myself screaming at them. I could see how my words affected Darren. There was this spark of sadness in his eyes. It hurt knowing how much it was hurting him, and Jelsa.

"Shelby, hey, can you hear me? I know you're in there, you've gotta fight, it's gonna be hard but it'll get better. Please." Jelsa said. I wanted to sob but found laughter coming from my voice. I struggled for control but it was no use. I lost focus on reality and the entity took full control.

-two days later-
"Hey, Shelb, wake up." I heard Darren's voice. My consciousness came back and I could see for myself, Jelsa's snow was twisting around us. I was gripping not my frying pan but Darren's sword. It was pressed to his throat. I screamed but the entity laughed. How did we get here? I wondered as the entity pressed the sword harder against Darren's throat.
