Elsa's P.O.V.

I sat at my desk trying to focus on some trading shipments but my mind was on my daughter. I knew what it was like to isolate yourself out of fear of hurting others. The only person who had seen her was Jack, but he said something was wrong with her. That Jelsa wasn't acting like herself. I stood up and went to find Anna. She was in her room.

"Anna please, I need your help. My daughter's gone, and I need you here. I've lost Ella, I can't lose her too. Just help me please. You're my only hope, just you and me. What are we gonna do? Do you wanna build a snowman?" I sang. Anna's door creaked opened.

"Forget building a snowman, let's go bring your daughter back." Anna said. I smiled and hugged my sister. We ran to the stables where we got our horses. We rode to Jack's home.

"Of course I'll take you but you have to let me talk to her." Jack said. After we asked him to take us to where Jelsa was.

"Jack you know she's not in control of her powers yet, she could hurt you!" I said. Jack saddled his horse.

"I don't care, if we can keep her from getting hurt, then I'll gladly get hurt to help her." Jack said. I was shocked, an excited shriek came from Anna.

"That is so cute! Elsa! Jack's in love with Jelsa!" Anna shrieked with joy. I never understood why she shrieks. Jack's face flushed.

"No I'm not! She's like a sister to me." Jack said and got on his horse. Anna giggled.

"Sure, you keep telling yourself that." Anna said.

"Let's just go." Jack said and set his horse into a trot, not wanting it to slip on the ice I had accidentally covered the ground in. We followed him.

It only took about an hour to find her palace. Anna stood in shock after we had gotten off our horses.

"Elsa, she's better at architecture than you." Anna said. She was right. Black sand formed statues of dragons and other monsters. The doors were heavy and solid crafted with hundreds of tiny details. The whole castle had a gothic theme to it. Jack stopped us and we stared at the giant reindeer in front of the doors. It seemed childish and calm. Jack smiled.

"That one won't hurt us." Jack said and walked forward. Anna smiled.

"That's because that reindeer seems a lot like you." Anna said. It was true Jack to was childish and calm. He always seemed to make Jelsa laugh even in her darkest days. I smiled for the first time since I'd seen Jelsa walk out in her birthday dress. I was so proud of my daughter.

Jack opened the doors and we walked in. We were confronted by a larger more serious version of the reindeer outside. It stood beside a throne. In the throne sat my daughter. Her eyes lit up when they landed on Jack. Black frost began forming on her hands.

"Wren, settle down." Jelsa told the large reindeer.

"If that one's name is Wren, what's the smaller one's name?" Anna asked. Jelsa looked at her. Her eyes seemed just a little more amber than last time I'd seen her.

"Drecker, he's supposed to keep people from entering. Except he's a little too childish." Jelsa said. She kept her posture straight.

"Oh, well how have you been?" Anna asked awkwardly. Jelsa smiled slightly.

"Never mind me, how have you been, Aunt Anna?" Jelsa said. She waved her hands and shot ice behind us forming three chairs. She gestured for us to sit so we did. Anna and Jack shivered when they sat down, but I didn't. I was used to the cold.

"Okay I guess, I've been worried above everything else." Anna said. Jelsa nodded.

"Well no need to worry. Wren and Drecker take good care of me." She said.

"But you just said Drecker lets anyone in." I said. The semi happy glow Jelsa had vanished when I spoke.

"Usually Wren guards." Jelsa said. She stood slowly her posture never failing.

"Jack, Aunt Anna, why don't you wait out side. I need to speak to my mother." Jelsa said.

I watched Aunt Anna and Jack leave. Mother stood up. Her eyes were filled with worry. Why should she be worried? She never noticed me until my powers developed. Mother was the first to speak.

"Jelsa, please come back home?" Mother begged. I walked towards her.

"No! Why should I? I'm finally free!" I said.

"You can't be free without someone to be with you and care." She said.

"Because I so had that before?" I asked. Then I started to sing.

"My whole life you were a no show, not caring what I did. Then these powers came and you're over flowing with love. Ha! You only care if I'm one with the wind and sky! So Mother dear, tell me, why should should I go back? To that life of being alone and trapped. Because now I'm alone and free!" I sang. Mother began to sing too.

"Please, I truly loved you, since the day you were born! When I tried to get close you pushed me out!" I cut her off.

"No! I'm done with your lies! I'm done with being surrounded by blue ice! Because black ice!" I sang and started to walk away.

"Black ice! Black ice, is better than blue ice!" I turned around sharply with the last line.

"We can live with equal amounts of both! Just please don't shut me out again!" Mother sang.

"I'm not going back! Don't even try! Because black ice!"

"Please come home!"

"Black ice!"

"You don't have to be alone!"

"Black ice, is better than blue ice!" I sang. Wren pushed Mother through the doors. Then I felt a sharp pain in my head. I fell to my knees. When it left I caught my reflection in the ice. My eyes were entirely amber. Jack came into the palace. Then came the voice I'd been hearing lately.

"Shoot him with ice." The voice said. My hand rose and against my will black ice shot out and nearly hit him, it would have if I hadn't managed to move my hand just an inch. Jack looked at me.

"Jelsa?" He asked. Then I stood up and ran to my room. I knew Wren would get Jack to leave. But for some reason Jack followed me into my room. I turned to him.

"Jack you have to leave." I said. His face had determination written on it.

"No, Jelsa, please, come with me and we'll find away to help you. You don't even have to go back to the castle. Just come with me please." He said. He reached out a hand to brush some of my tears away but I pulled back.

"No! I can't leave here! I might hurt someone, I might hurt you." I said. Jack gave me a reasurring smile.

"You won't hurt me." He said. I shook my head.

"Yes, I will." I said.

"Please Jack, just leave me alone." I said and created another reindeer. There was no kindness in him. All this one knew was to keep people out, and away from me. He pushed Jack out and when I knew Jack, Aunt Anna, and Mother were gone. I fell to the ground and cried. Wren and Drecker came into my room and they both laid down next to where I was crying. Yes I was free, but sometimes freedom, is the lonliest thing.
