Jelsa's P.O.V.

I sat at my door. I stood up and looked into my mirror. I looked awful. My hair had begun to fall from its braid and stuck out everywhere. My make up was smeared from crying and my dress was wrinkled. I grabbed a dress and headed for the washroom. I hadn't left my room for days. Now it was just time for Ella's funeral. Ella had now been dead for three days. I ran into someone and was snapped out of my thoughts. I looked up and saw Jack. His eyes were worried.

"Jack? What are you doing here?" I asked trying to get the makeup off my eyes. Jack smiled when normally he would have laughed.

"You haven't come out of your room for three days. You haven't eaten, all you've done is cry. No one could get you to come out so they sent me to try and get you out." He said. I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"How's Emily doing?" I asked trying to change the subject. He gave a small smile.

"She's okay, a little shaken up but who isn't?" Jack said. I nodded.

"Jack can I talk to you later, I really need to freshen up." I said. Jack smiled a real smile and made my heart soar for just second until his smile disappeared.

"Of course, I'll see you when you down for lunch." Jack said and walked toward the dining hall.

I got to the washroom and took a bath. I put on a solid back winter dress since it was really cold. Mother hadn't set off another eternal winter but she had caused the temperature to go down drastically. I put my hair up how Mother had worn it on her coronation day. I cleaned my face off and sighed when I was about to open the door. Everyone would be at the table and would all look at me. But Jack would be there and he'd help me get through it. I opened the door and made my way to the dining hall. I walked in and like I thought everyone stared at me. I sat down next to Jack and the servants brought out lunch. We all ate our food quietly. When we were done Aunt Anna awkwardly started a conversation. Mother looked at me.

"Jelsa are you really going to Ella's funeral like that?" Mother asked. I frowned I had just started to get along with my mother but now we resorting back to our old ways. I glared at Mother.

"I thought I'd look upset instead of looking my best, I guess you didn't get the memo. You're supposed to wear black to a funeral." I shot. Mother straightened her posture and Aunt Anna tried to stop the growing argument.

"Ella wouldn't care what she wears just that she's there and not locked in her room." Aunt Anna said. Mother wasn't calmed but even more enraged.

"Ella won't see because she's dead! She's dressing nice for me!" Mother snapped. The room grew silent. Mother looked back at me.

"Go change your dress and put on some make up!" Mother yelled at me. I stood up knocking my chair over in the process and turned to go to my room.

"While I'm doing that how about you go and die! Then you won't have to worry about looking nice!" I screamed and ran to my room. I slammed the door and pulled off my dress. The door opened and then quickly shut again. I heard a quick apology. I cracked the door and saw a blushing Jack. I blushed.

"Sorry, I didn't think you'd have undressed so fast." He said quickly his face getting redder I actually found myself laughing and he smiled slightly. I shrugged.

"It's just you Jack, come in I have a changing curtain." I said. I let him in and he made sure not to look at me. I was sitting in a corset and underskirt. I opened my dresser and took out several dresses. I turned to Jack who was nervously studying the ceiling. I giggled slightly which was very unlike me. Jack's eyes snapped at me in surprise then shot to the ceiling again as he noticed I still wasn't dressed. I smiled.
