Ash

Jelsa's P.O.V.

I paced my throne room. How could I fight what was happening? Maybe Jack could help me. Should I go to the village and ask for his help? What if he won't help? What if he hates me? I stopped walking and stroked Wren's fur. Drecker was asleep on the floor next to Wren. The third reindeer, Ash, was outside guarding. Since Ash had no love for humans or other reindeer he didn't need Wren and Drecker's help. I sighed.

"Wren, what should I do?" I asked. Wren knelt down onto his front knees, a sign for me to get on. I formed a black ice saddle and slid onto his back. Wren stood up and pushed open the doors with his nose. He walked out into the light and Ash turned to look at us. I gestured for Ash to stay put and he did. I could tell Wren wanted to run so I quickly shortened the length of my dress so it was a more riding dress. Wren took off and the wind whipped through my hair, pulling it from its up due so it was just a long braid. I ran my hand through my hair so my bangs weren't in my face. I probably looked like a darker version of my mother. When we made it to Jack's village I sighed. I was surprisingly nervous, but when I spotted Jack I slid off of Wren and ran to him.

"Jack!" I called. Jack turned to me and smiled. I gave him a hug almost knocking him to the ground. We both laughed. Black frost covered my hands and formed on the ground under my feet.

"Jelsa! What are you doing here?" Jack asked happily. My smile disappeared. I looked at my hands. What was I doing here?

"I-I need your help." I said. Jack smiled.

"Okay." Jack said. I looked into his eyes.

"Hey, relax, you'll be fine." Jack said.

"You had any fun lately?" Jack asked. I shook my head. Lately all I'd been doing was focusing on the voice that kept popping up in my head. I didn't know where it was coming from but I wanted it gone. Jack slung an arm around my shoulders.

"Then let's go, I do believe some fun is needed." Jack said. I couldn't help but smile. Wren snorted and it seemed as if he was smiling. I laughed. Wren laid down and Jack took my hand.

"Let's go." He said and led me into the woods. The further we got into the woods, the louder the voice in my head got.

"Do it! Kill him! Finish him! He doesn't care about you! He doesn't love you! Why would anyone care for you? You're a monster!" The voice yelled.

"No!" I screamed. Jack looked at me worriedly. I held my head in my hands. Jack forced me to look him in the eyes.

"Jelsa, what's wrong?" He asked.

"The voice, the voice in my head." I said.

"What?" Jack asked.

"Kill him!" The voice chanted in my head.

"No! I can't! I need him!" I yelled. The pain in my head got worse, causing me to fall to my knees. Jack caught me before I hit the ground.

"Jelsa!" I could hear Jack yelling. I felt tears roll down my face.

Suddenly I was floating in emptiness. I looked around me. That's when I saw her, well actually I saw me. She looked just like me. Her shoulders were uncovered because her dress had no straps. Her black dress had a sweetheart neckline, it clung tightly to her sides (or my sides, or our sides, this was really confusing.) Then it came out into a frilly hem on the bottom. A slit ran up the skirt to the top of her thigh. The bodice part was a see through gray. Her hair fell freely over her shoulders. Her skin was a light gray, and her eyes were solid amber. She smirked at me.

"Didn't think you could look so good did you?" She asked. I blinked.

"What? Who are you?" I asked. Her smirked grew.

"I'm you, well the better version of you." She said.

"And unlike you, I know how to control our powers. And Daddy caters to me." She said. She flipped her hair over her shoulder.

"Well, I want nothing to do with my father!" I said.

"Oh honey, it doesn't matter. Soon I'm going to make the choices around here. Haven't you been hearing Daddy trying to help me out?" She asked.

"No! I'm in control!" I yelled. She smirked.

"Sure, I'll see you around darling." She waved and walked away. Then Jack's voice came into my mind.

"Jelsa! Jelsa! Somebody help!" He yelled.

I snapped my eyes open with a scream in pain. Jack looked down at me. Why were we moving? I heard a grunt then realized we were riding on Wren's back. Jack's eyes were filled with worry. I wrapped my arms around his neck and started crying. Coming here was a mistake. I was putting Jack and everyone else in danger. I could feel frost forming on my hands and I knew I was covering everything with frost. I opened my eyes and saw a trail of black frost where we had rode. I shot my eyes shut once again. Wren suddenly stopped causing us to fly off of him. I fell right on top of Jack, our faces were inches apart but this was much more serious then when it was in my room back in the palace. I got up off of him and Wren kneeled down for me. I looked from him to Jack.

"I'm sorry, Jack. I shouldn't have come here." I said.

"Jelsa don't! We can figure this out together!" Jack said. I got onto Wren's back.

"I'm sorry Jack, but I have to keep you safe from me." I said and then Wren ran as fast as he could. I cried into Wren's shoulder's as I buried my face into his fur. I knew Jack would find a way back to my palace but I didn't care. Ash would never let anyone into my palace now. I would be isolated. For everyone's good but mine.
