"Jisoo, no! I can't today, I'm having a date." Lisa said to one of her bestfriends.

"What?! With who?! You just got divorced, Lisa." Jisoo ranted over the phone. " We are going at our favorite diner tonight. And the girls are expecting you to be there."

"Jisoo, I can't. I'm sure Rosie and Jen will understand me. Just tell them that I'm having a date with Luke."

Lisa heard her friend sighed. And bid her goodbye.

"Dada, was that Auntie Chu?" Luke asked, as he was fixing his own shoes.

Lisa smiled at her child and nodded. She knelt down and took over Luke on fixing his another shoe.

As soon as they got dressed, Lisa immediately carried her son and went to the sandwich diner.

"What's Dada favorite sandwich again?" Lisa playfully asked Luke.

Luke thought for a second then smiled at his Dada giving his answer, "bacon, cheese, and egg... No vegetable, aaaanndd no dressing." He showed Lisa his toothy grin and Lisa peppered him with kisses.

"Very good! Aigoo! I made a very intelligent child." The five-year-old cackled as his mom fixed him from her grip and ordered their sandwiches.

While Luke was eating, Lisa was watching him. Her heart was breaking for her child and she cannot help it.

True enough to what Jisoo have said. She and her wife just got divorced. But Lisa already moved on from her. To her defense, the mother of her child never showed care for her son. After giving birth to the little Luke, she told Lisa that she wanted to pursue modeling at New York. She left Lisa with no choice and didn't give a say to her decision.

"Luke, baby. Do you miss your mom?" Lisa asked her son. Luke took a bite from his sandwich before he looked at her.

"No Dada." He said, shaking his head and continue to munch his food.

"Why? Are you mad at her?"

"No Dada. I'm not mad at her. I love Mama. But I love you more. You're the best Dada in the entire world." Lisa's heart swelled. Her eyes welled up with tears.

Lisa playfully acted as she was touched with her son's words. Jumping on her seat and held her chest, "I really made a very intelligent and handsome boy." She ruffled her son's hair.

"Dada, can you buy me another sandwich please?" Luke showed her Dada his puppy dog eyes. Lisa leaned forward and acted like she's negotiating with her son.

"Show me your cute face first."

Luke winked at her and followed it with his cutie smile.

With that, Lisa leaned her back again on her seat and nodded vigorously to her son's request. "Okay! I'll buy you lots and lots of sandwiches."

Lisa slept at her son's room. She was hugging Luke, when she felt his forehead was burning. She got up and took a thermometer to check her son's temperature.

38.5 it showed. She went to their kitchen to get what she needed to make her son's temperature, back to normal.

"Luke, get up baby. You have to drink your medicine." Luke batted his long eyelashes and Lisa guided him to sit. She made him drink the medicine tablet she prepared for him and she lay him down again. This time she wiped his body with a warm towel.

She watched him sleep and often check his temperature. "His fever didn't go down." She sighed. Then her phone rang. She immediately answered and found out that it's from the hospital she's working.
