I stand up abruptly, and so does Asher. "What do you want?" I say directing towards my mom.

"Well sweetly, when I called Rose's mom last night, and she said you weren't there I got a little worried."

Asher laughed a little under his breath. "Yea right, worried? You ruined her whole life!" The two men got up from their chairs, and walked over to my mom. They look like they were, protecting her? In the corner of my eye I see Asher clutching a fist in his dominate hand.

Completely ignoring Asher she said, "Once I saw that you were never at Rose's house, I drove past Asher's." My mom looks at him. "And when no one was in the crusty looking place, I came to a conclusion that you two must be together!" She says this in a sarcastic voice while putting her hand on her heart. "I tracked your location Maya, and it turns out that I was right. How did I know you might ask? Well, you were at the same hospital you got your procedure done young lady."

"You lied to me!" I screamed while tears run down my face. Asher grabs my hand.

"Oh honey, we were just trying to protect you."

Asher whispers in my ear, "We have to leave now, or we will never make it." We start to walk toward the door, but the two men stopped infant of us pushing my away.

The next thing I know Asher throws a huge punch right in the bigger mans face. He tried to then kick Asher, but he quickly blocked it.

John ran as fast as he could out of the cafe.

The second guy went to hit Asher since he was fighting the other one, but I stepped in front of him.

"Don't touch him!"

"I don't want have to hit a girl," he said getting closer to me.

"Well, I have no problem hitting a boy." I hit him in the stomach, and my mom starts to walk towards me.

"Maya stop it! Violence isn't the answer! Just come with me and everything will go back to normal, I promise," my mom pleaded.

"You know, you really didn't think this through," I laughed while kicking her in the nose.

"Fine, so I'm the bad guy." She steps towards me and tried to kick me, but I managed to block it and kick her into a table. Before I knew it she had swept my leg, and I was on the ground. She then proceeds to jump on me, and chock me with her foot.

Although it wasn't that hard nor painful, I assumed she was taking pity on me since I am her daughter. I took that to my advantaged and brought my knee up to her stomach, causing her to let go of me and fall to the floor.

"You really thought I was going to go with you, huh?" I then punch her in the face, knocking her out cold. "Have a nice life, mother."

I finally had a chance to look at Asher and see if he was ok. To my surprise, he was standing in-between both of the scary men, looking perfectly fine. "We don't have much time. It's now or never," Asher says while grabbing my hand.

We ran and ran until Asher stopped at the entrance to the woods. "Are you ready?"

I looked at Asher. "Ready as I will ever be."
