Lauren's POV:
I helped lauren to the dinner table cause nobody else would. I sat down after lauren sat down, I started eating while the others were putting cheese on theirs.
"Can I have everybody's attention." Mom said. "Well for the events today, we are going to have to take it very easy for the next couple days with lauren, okay so that means no running around, playing basketball or any type of sports with lauren included."
For some reason lauren dropped her fork when mom said basketball and looked down at her hands. "lauren is everything okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah i'm just not hungry anymore." She said getting up and walking away then out the front door. I was about to get up and go after her when somebody stopped me, "Let her go she's just on the front porch, okay she's trying to take in the events that have happened." Dad said.
After dinner we were watching a movie when I heard the basketball bouncing outside. I went to the front door and peeked out the front window and saw lauren dribbling the basketball. I walked outside and lauren shot with one hand since the other one was in the cast. It bounced over to me and I caught it she turned to get the ball but then saw me. She stopped and looked at me, "What are you doing out here?" She asked.
"Checking up on you, you know you just got hurt, we are still worried about you." I said giving her the ball. She turned around and shot and made it, "What's wrong?" I asked her.
She ignored me and shot again, instead I grabbed the ball and looked at her, "I said, what is wrong?" I asked again.
"Look this is a conversation that I don't want to have right now." She said looking at me.
"Well I think we need to have this conversation right now cause there's something wrong." I said.
"Fine but can we sit down because my ribs are starting to hurt." She said walking to the porch steps. I walked over and sat down next to her. "Look since this whole explosion, i've been down because I was hoping to play basketball for my school team when school starts in a couple days, and now my arms broken so I guess I can't." She said.
"You can play after you get the cast off, you just have to wait." I said.
"No cause by the time I get the cast off the season will be almost over so there's just no point." She said while getting up and going back inside.
I walked back in and saw lauren walking up the stairs and I watched her just to make sure she didn't fall. Then I walked to the couch and sat down, when High School Musical went off everybody went upstairs to go to bed. I went up to my bed and laid down and fell asleep.
