lauren's POV:
I'm so glad I got expelled from school even though it's not going to help having that on my record for starting college but I can at least get into a different college. I'm also glad because I can spend more time playing basketball, and hanging with my family then being at school and not getting to see them that much. Which it's the end of the season for basketball, and I have a lot of pressure on me for being the team captain of my team cause we took a vote and everybody voted me. So that means I get to make the calls in the game for who plays if anybody gets hurt. Which it's only a hour till the game so i'm practicing outside with the hoop we have in the driveway. Right now I have not missed a shot since I've been out here shooting around and all that. "Hey lauren what you doin'?" Lisa asked walking out the front door. "Just shooting around, preparing for the final game." I said shooting again and making it. "That's good, so do you think you'll win?'' She asked again. "I'm not sure the team we are playing have some really good players." I said bouncing the ball while looking at Lisa. "I bet you will win." She said walking up to me and hugging me then walking back inside. "I sure hope so." I said to myself. After 30 mins the whole family came out the front door and told me it's time to go. So we all got in the van and drove to the gym for my game, I jumped out and ran to my team since we were just practicing until the game started. We were shooting around when the buzzer went off so my team went to the bench. Then the coach picked who was playing in first, and it was me, Alex, Joselin, Dove, and Cameron, then I was picked to do tip off so I got in the center then the tall girl from the other team came to the middle and then the ref came and tossed the ball then I smacked it to Alex who dribbled down then passed it back to me so I shot and I made it. Then in the third quarter I was running down the court when a girl came behind me to take the ball when she tripped and fell on my leg, and it caused me to fall, she took the ball and went running back down the court but I couldn't seem to run and then I fell back down when I tried. Then my coach called a timeout and then some of my teammates came and helped me up and carried me to the bench. "Coach I don't think I can run." I said. "Then I will put in another player." He said then the ref blew his whistle and the game continued. But after that I thought I could play so at the end of the quarter I convinced the coach to let me play. Then when I walked out to the court I was still limping but when the crowd figured out that I was playing they cheered. They passed the ball in then I stole it and ran down the court but that same girl who hurt my leg the first time tripped me again and fell on my leg and I couldn't get up but then I saw my family in the stands and then I looked at each of their faces which pushed me to get back up. So I got up and the crowd cheered again. I limped down the court until I got used to running on my leg, during the final couple seconds it was tied 24 to 24 and I had the ball, I passed it to Cameron and then she passed it back and I tossed it at the hoop and it got in then the final seconds ran down and my team won. The crowd cheered then my team ran up to each other and we were high- fiving. Then afterwards I went home and went to my room and went to sleep. But the next day was the oddest for me and my sisters.
