Lori suggested they head back to Eric’s house so they could start packing up the things that weren’t immediately needed. Kellie agreed so they started rounding up children. Lori called Bethany and asked if she could come down and help. She was quite shocked to hear that Eric had bought Kinsey a house but was quick to agree to come help in the moving process.

Kellie and Kinsey were packing up in one of the kids’ rooms when all the guys returned from the band meeting and photo shoot. Daisy and Jesse ran up to Eric as soon as they’d entered the house firing question after question at him about treehouses, pools, jungle gyms, and other things related to the new house. The bassist just laughed and said he would tell all of them all about the house as soon as he had talked with their sister. Jesse pouted making all the men laugh softly.

“House?” Zach asked

“Come on, I’ll take you to see it.” Eric stated

Eric went to find Kinsey and Kellie to tell them he was taking the guys to see the new house. Barry knew, of course, but the other two didn’t know anything. Upon hearing that Eric was heading over to the new house, all the kids wanted to go back too. Kinsey told them that they would be going back soon enough but there was packing to do. Lori said that it might actually be nice to head back over there and take a break from packing making Kinsey nod in agreement.

It took three cars but eventually everyone was in a vehicle and on the way to the home Eric had bought for Kinsey. Eric, Kinsey, Bella, Hayden, and Lane were in one car while the Kerch’s, Daisy & Jesse were in Lori’s SUV, and the rest of the guys were in Brent’s car. Lori and Barry were talking quietly about what Eric had done while the kids were watching a movie in the backseat. Lori had been shocked that the bassist had gone so far as to buy such a large house just for her.

“Honey, he…. He’s trying to provide for her and those kids. He wants her to see that he can take care of her and them. He…. “ Barry stated

“He’s in love with her.” Lori quietly finished for her husband

“I don’t think he even realizes it yet.” Barry chuckled as they pulled onto the driveway, “How do you think she feels?”

“I think she has a crush on him but is trying to be polite. She did say that she loved the house and was glad Eric bought it.” Lori replied

“They’re going to wind up together.” Barry grinned at his wife

“What makes you say that?” Lori questioned, cocking her eyebrow at him

“Intuition.” Barry retorted winking

Lori laughed softly as she parked the SUV. Everyone piled out of their respective vehicles. Zach and Brent were quick to express their shock at the property Eric had bought. Eric couldn’t help but laugh at the enthusiasm of the children at the new place. Bella ran up to her big sister giggling.

“Sissy…. we stay here?” The young girl questioned

Kinsey looked up to Eric who was only smiling at her affectionately.

“Yes Bella-Baby. This is our new home.” She told her youngest sister

“Kinsey?” Jesse asked, voice small and filled with uncertainty

“Yes Jesse?” Kinsey asked

Everyone but Lori and Eric had gone around to check out the yard.

“Momma won’t find us here to hurt you again? We’re safe here?” The young boy asked

Kinsey teared up at the question. It got to Eric too. The bassist watched as Kinsey sat down on the ground next to her brother. Eric couldn’t stop himself from sitting down to her left.
