A night out on the town

“Where are we going?” Kinsey asked as they pulled up in front of a large, majestic looking building

“You’ll just have to see!” Eric grinned at her

She giggled as she took his offered arm. They walked up the stone steps and to the front door. When they entered, she realized they were at some sort of theatre. They walked to the ticket counter where he gave his name. The woman behind the counter smiled at him as she slid their tickets over. Kinsey noted everyone was dressed up so this wasn’t a movie theatre. She couldn’t help but wonder what sort of show they were about to see! They found seats where they could see everything without any trouble.

“What are we about to see?” She quietly asked as she looked around

“Cirque du Soleil Alegría. It’s supposed to be really good. I think you’re going to like it.” Eric replied with a warm smile

Her eyes went wide. She remembered a neighbor talking about Cirque du Soleil once and how majestic and magical it was. He grinned at her as he watched her face. Eric inquired what she was thinking about.

“I remember a neighbor once talking about Cirque du Soleil. She explained how magical and majestic and out-of-this world it was.” She smiled

“Then I think you’re going to love this.” He replied, leaning over and kissing the tip of her nose

She couldn’t help but giggle at him. The show finally started and he lost her attention. She had never heard such music before! The entire show was about two hours & fifteen minutes long, not including a twenty minute intermission. Kinsey was absolutely mesmerized as she sat there and watched the show. The music, the acrobatics, the performers, absolutely everything! She was so mesmerized, she didn’t realize Eric’s phone vibrated against his leg. She always felt it vibrating if they were sitting next to one another!

All too soon the show was over. She all but pouted which made Eric smile. This right here is what he wanted. To show her things she’d never seen before. To open her eyes to the world around her. They had the opportunity to have photos taken with some of the performers and Eric couldn’t resist. His girl was stunning, this was something she would look back on and hopefully remember fondly, and something she would be able to show all the kids. They made their way to where the performers were at.

All the performers were very nice and loved talking with the audience. Kinsey admitted this was the first time she’d seen any of the Cirque du Soleil show and she was blown away by it. They chatted for a few minutes before they took some photos with Kinsey & Eric. The bassist was able to get some photos of just Kinsey with the performers. He couldn’t believe just how stunning she looked even in bad lighting as he snapped the pictures. The young woman was on cloud nine as they finally left the theatre.
