Kinsey felt like she was floating on cloud nine as they finally made their way to dinner. He’d gotten a tattoo that symbolized their relationship and now he’d asked her to be his wife! This was more than she had ever expected! He looked over at her every now and then and saw the smile that was plastered to her beautiful face. He knew he had made the right decision even if they’d only been together less than a year. She was shocked at the place he had taken her too.

Of course she was still shocked that he had even proposed. Thinking about what had just happened, she couldn’t help but think about how romantic it was. Such a beautiful setting over-looking Paris at sunset. How many women dreamed of a proposal like that? Just thinking about it made her giggle. They were seated at the most romantic spot in the whole restaurant. Their table was literally in between the floor-to-ceiling open fire place and the beautiful Zen garden.

He ordered a sweet wine that he thought she would like as she looked over her menu. The Fettuccini with mini meatballs and tomato sauce looked great. She wasn’t sure what he ordered because she was staring at the beautiful ring on her ring finger. When she looked up, she found him staring at her with this goofy look on his face.

“What?” She questioned, looking away and then back to him

“You are absolutely glowing.” He grinned

She blushed, which he thought was just adorable, and bit her lower lip.

“I’m happy.” She stated

“And why is that?” He chuckled

“Because you want to marry me.” She said, “Because we’re in the most romantic city in the world and I’ve gotten to be here with you.”

“Kinsey, I love you. You make me very happy. Honestly you’re doing me a favor by marrying me!”  He smiled, reaching across the table and lacing their fingers together

She blushed at the compliment, “I’m not sure I know what romantic love is. You bring all these weird feelings to the surface and butterflies start going crazy in my stomach.”

“That just about sums up love, Sweetheart!” He laughed softly, “All I want to do is make you happy.”

“You do make me happy! Every day I get to spend with you makes me happy. Getting to see you play makes me happy. Seeing all these new and interesting places with you makes me happy.” She said quietly

The waitress finally brought the wine he had ordered. She tentatively took a sip. It was sweet but didn’t have a strong taste. She liked it which made him happy.

“Getting to have you with me every day out on the road makes me happy. Getting to hold you close to me at night makes me happy. Seeing that sweet, beautiful face every morning makes me happy. Seeing you rocking out at the side of the stage makes me happy! Watching you explore new things and places makes me happy.” He said, “Knowing that you’re my girl makes me happy. And now knowing that one day soon you will take my name and be my wife makes me really happy.”
