Shortly after they returned from their honeymoon, Eric and Kinsey got all the paper work going for them to officially adopt her siblings. Since Kinsey was their care-giver, they adoption went quickly. It only took a few weeks for all the paperwork to go through. Once they had the papers in their hands, they sat down to dinner one night with all the kids. They explained about the adoption and how Eric and Kinsey were now their official parents.

The kids all had lots of questions but the happy couple explained things as best as they could. Jesse and Daisy were more curious about what to call them. Eric smiled warmly at the older children and told them 'mom' and 'dad' would be appropriate if they wanted. The other children were already calling him 'Daddy' and had started calling her 'Mommy' so it wasn't so hard for them. After explaining the adoption and answering any questions they had, all the children seemed to really relax about everything.

A few months after their wedding, they were back in the States touring. It was decided that they would buy another bus and renovate it for having children with them. During the summer they were going to bring the kids on tour to help ease the strain on Kellie, his parents, and give them time with Kinsey and Eric. They were getting all of December off which made Eric very happy. He was planning a Christmas trip to Canada.

They had a day off and were spending it just relaxing. Brent discovered a car show nearby and thought it would be fun. They were in a small town, the venue only holding maybe 500 people if they packed in together, but Zach and Barry weren't interested in walking around a car show. Eric had to take an important call from his studio back in Charleston. Kinsey said she'd accompany the vocalist so off they went. She was just excited to see all these cool cars.

There were a lot of cool cars. Lots of muscle cars, she noticed. As they walked around this car show she saw it. Kinsey's gasp caught Brent's attention. Before he could ask her why she'd gasped, she had taken off straight to it. He jogged to catch up to her as she tried not to run over to a car that had caught her eye. He wondered what was so special about this car. She was talking with the owner when Brent walked up.

"What put the fire in your step?" Brent chuckled

"This is a 1934 Bentley! And it's been beautifully restored!" Kinsey gushed

"Thank you Ma'am. You are right on about the year and model!" The old man told her

Brent was surprised that she knew that! She never failed to surprise him and the band.

"This is such a beautiful car." Kinsey said to no one in particular

"It drives like a champ." The old man smiled at her

Kinsey's eyes went wide, "It still runs?!"

Brent was quite surprised that this car still ran. He was actually surprised at how good this car looked, too!

"Yes Ma'am! Would you like to take a trip around the block?" The old man asked

"Oh my God would I?!" She excitedly replied

Brent climbed in the back after snapping a photo of her in the passenger seat of the car. He couldn't help but notice she was like a kid in a candy store she was so excited. It wasn't often she got this way so he just sat back and listened to her and the old man chatting about this car. Brent had to admit, though, that this vehicle was simply beautiful and ran like a dream. They finally pulled back into the space he'd been parked in before when they returned. He asked if she wanted to see his other vehicles and Brent thought she was going to pass out from the excitement!

They agreed to meet back up in about twenty minutes. It would give the old man, Gene, time to find someone to watch his car while he was giving them a tour. Brent suggested they go find the others and see if they wanted to come along. When they arrived at the where the small group was at, Kinsey immediately grabbed Eric's hand and began pulling him along with her. The tall bassist couldn't help but wonder what was going on. Brent asked the other three, Jake had arrived while Brent and Kinsey were otherwise busy, and said that he'd never seen Kinsey so excitable.
