Chapter Thirteen (It was a Thursday)

Allison POV-

By the time Lydia and I make it to the cafeteria, the pack is already gathered at our table, waiting patiently while chatting among themselves. Danny and Kira wave happily as we sit down - Lydia sits at the end of the table between Jackson and Boyd while I sit next to Kira across from Lydia it's our unofficial but official assigned seats.

"Hey, have you guys seen Scott? He wasn't in Coach's class earlier," Danny says while moving some of the food around on his plate.

I nod, "Yeah he got a note saying he got to leave early but I wasn't sure why."

Danny makes a noise but doesn't say anything else, but it makes Erica smile evilly. "He probably went to see Derek. Those two have been rather close lately - Derek's soft side is showing."

Jackson sneers. "You wish, Derek's been gone for a whole month doing who knows what. The last thing he wants is to get all friendly with McCall I'm sure."

Erica rolls her eyes at him. "Mhmm, and what do you know, Whittemore?"

"Apparently more than you, Reyes."

"-Then go preach to someone who cares."

"Bitch."

"Asshole."

Boyd sighs loudly and promptly leans more forward between the two in order to keep them from clawing each other's faces off. From across the table, I see Lydia give me a look - obviously hinting that we should tell them about the incident earlier. Before I can think of what to say Erica takes a loud bite out of her apple, "-Did you guys hear about what happened in Ms. Blake's classroom?"

Kira gasps and leans in closer clearly intrigued, "What?"

Erica smirks and finishes swallowing however Jackson beats her to the punch, "Bunch of birds broke the glass and flew into the room, no big deal." Erica growls over at Jackson who just gives her an unimpressed look and rolls his eyes.

Danny and Kira's eyes widen almost comically. "Woah really?" They look at each other and smile quietly when they both spoke at the same time but Jackson groans loudly clearly done with everything, Erica grins enthusiastically.

"Yep, shattered the whole thing and I hear that Ms. Blake had to leave early because she was so scared."

That was news to me but I wasn't too surprised since the teacher looked really rattled after it happened, what surprised me was that none of them knew me or Lydia were in that class but I wasn't going to say anything and it was clear Lydia wasn't either. Suddenly one of the students in the lunchroom come to the front of our table by Erica and Danny - and I'm pretty sure her name was Heather but I wasn't positive, yet she gives us a big smile and hands Danny a paper.

"Hi, so I'm having a party at my house tonight and everyone's invited," she gives all a kind look before turning her gaze back towards Danny. "The information is on the paper along with my number." She winks at him then turns away to the next table with a flip of her hair.

"...So what just happened?" Jackson questions as he struts over and rips the paper out of Danny's hands examining it closely.

Lydia smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes, "I think that we just got invited to a party." Her tone is slightly sarcastic and she gives us a look that gives me the - you are all idiots - vibe. "Oh, and Danny just got hit on."

Jackson sends her a look of confusion and brief annoyance but hands the paperback to a silent Danny. Kira nudges his shoulder, "She knows your gay right?" Danny shrugs unbothered and Erica lets out a quiet laugh. "I don't think she cares."
