CHAPTER SEVEN:

"Good morning, Alicia." I said brightly as I slid into the seat beside her.

"Good morning?" Alicia smiled up at me, looking a trifle confused.

Alright, I didn't usually greet her with a good morning everyday. I have no idea why I was so hyped up today, like my body was anticipating something badly. The worse part of this was that I have no idea why it was like that. I could remember nothing that I should be happy and excited about, and it was getting a little annoying because I was just so happy.

"You look really bright today." Alicia added.

Alicia, if you remembered, was this really quiet, sweet girl with golden glasses and honey brown hair. She was in love with Wes for as long as I could remember, and though she never did have the courage to tell him(which I, er...actually er..did on her behalf by accident), she was one of the bravest girls I have ever known. Sure, she was a delicate, gentle person that has a voice that barely carries a metre away but she is daring in her timid way. She would give her speech on Grandparents' Day for the grandma she knew when she was four in front of the whole school without shaking. Sure, her voice was too soft, but she dared to do what she thought she wanted to. She was the type of girl that you would feel assured to be with because she always knew what she was doing and made you less nervous when your teacher decides to throw an immediate project on you.

"What can I do? Your sweetheart stole my cap." I rolled my eyes and brushed my hair out of my face.

Since Wes refused to give me back my cap, I had no choice but to wear my hair down because half the time, my hair was too out of control to keep in a bun and I just end up looking like I decided to become Einstein. Right now, it was flapping around my face like some golden cloud.

"Well," Her face took on one that was determined to not to stray from the topic. "I like it when your hair is down. You look prettier with it."

"I do not. And don't tell me you're still upset from that day. I clarified with him. He really didn't hear you say hi!" I said quickly. Alicia was one who didn't skive on compliments, no matter how unworthy the person was and I didn't want to hear an encore of it again.

"Again? Don't tell me you told him again?" Her soft voice turned high pitched and squeaky.

"Well, not that I approve of you liking him, but doesn't it make you feel less miserable?" I pulled out my notebooks and pens from my bag.

  "Juliet!" She wailed.

"Alright, relax! I don't think he minds though. Don't get upset, but all he ever thinks about is Jodie." I said, trying to be gentle.

Alicia shrugged, brushing her honey hair over her shoulder.

"Don't think I'm not aware of that." She sighed. "Anyway, so, why are you so happy today?" She asked.

I frowned, and turned to the front. Students were starting to pour in already, getting ready for History. Though Ms Charles, our hippy teacher who was ancient yet more modern than all of us put together, was bound to be late, nearly the whole class was in their seats already.

"I have no idea. I have this wacked up feeling that I should know what it is, but I don't remember anything."

"You and your short term memory," Alicia laughed and nudged me with nearly no pressure. "Will lead to your downfall one day."

"That, will never happen." I assured her.

"Oh I'm so sorry I'm late," Ms Charles rushed through the door with her heavy bags wearing a multi- coloured dress. Her hair was in a shade of pink, which she means she was probably getting ready for Valentine's Day. "My cat refused to let me go. Now," She chucked her books on the poor table and peered at us with sixty years old eyes. "Is the new boy here?" She demanded.
