Angeal and Zack were on edge and hovering close to the small dragon. The others backed off and let them. They understood, how would anyone else react if they found out someone they cared about and thought they has lost was treated like a lab rat for four years? The crowds thinned and the city faded into something far less urban and much more hilly. Eventually, they came to the very edge of Treecaster, right at corner of the cavern where one of the waterfalls which acted as the city's water supply flowed down. There was a sizable house near the base of the waterfall and it was covered in green. Everyone just stared in awe of it. "It's beautiful," (Y/N) finally spoke. "Sure is," Zack said, finally smiling again. "Aerith planted all the flowers, so be sure to give her the credit," "Hey, I've been meaning to ask," Oscar interrupted. "How do you guys grow plants down here without sunlight?" "A combination of specific dusts and a little fire power," Angeal said vaguely (look, it only came to mind after I started writing. Zack led the group around the side of the house which was even more vibrant in life, though much more colorful thanks to the many flowers in bloom. A young woman in a red dress was tending to them. She had long, braided, brunette hair, and light pink wings and a tail. (Y/N) saw that her soul was very bright and very caring. Zack's smile grew even larger as he waved. "Aerith!" She looked up from the plants and smiled as Zack quickly approached her. Qrow smirked, nudging Angeal. "I get why Tifa gave him such a hard time," the older dragon laughed. "You haven't seen the half of it," The two young adults hugged in a greeting to the amusement of everyone. Aerith then separated from Zack. "I was gonna come see you! I heard the news, is it true?" "Yeah, it is," Zack confirmed with a smile before motioning to his nephew to step forward. "I actually brought him here to meet you. (Y/N), come introduce yourself," "Hi," the boy greeted nervously. "I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you Ms. Aerith," She smiled sweetly at him. "Just Aerith is fine. It's wonderful to meet you again. We didn't meet many times before, but your uncle told me so many stories about you," (Y/N) then slyly smirked which gave Zack a horribly familiar feeling in his gut. "Really? Well, he hasn't been able to tell me much about you, but I can tell he really likes you," Aerith mimicked (Y/N)'s mischievous look at the black haired dragon Faunus. "Really, does he?" "Yup! What did Tifa say? You have him wrapped aro-," Zack covered his nephew's mouth with his tail, his cheeks now red. "Alright, that's enough out of you!" His girlfriend laughed. "He's just like your brother," "In some of the worst ways too," Zack muttered. Angeal stepped up and ruffled (Y/N)'s hair while everyone else struggled not to laugh. "I'll disagree with you there, puppy," "Angeal," the flower dragon greeted happily. "Always a pleasure to see you," "Lovely as always, Aerith," She then looked over to the group of outsiders in the back. "Who are they?" "They're my family," (Y/N) explained as the others introduced themselves. "They rescued (Y/N) and brought him back home," Zack added. "Yeah, back home," Yang repeated, unconsciously rubbing the boy's hair. Aerith frowned before turning to the older dragons. "You two, while I get acquainted with the others, you can water the flowers on the roof," Angeal crossed his arms. "You've got two working wings," "Now," Zack laughed and obliged while his superior muttered "she's been spending too much time with Tifa". The pink dragon then turned to the others. "Why don't I give you guys a tour?" "Yes please!" Weiss said eagerly, very interested in the variety of flowers. Everyone followed Aerith through her impressive flower garden.
