Patton's Disorder

It's been a few minutes and Roman swam in so fast he slammed his face to the wall.

Virgil got scared unsure what happened but he screamed for a second as a reflex. He heard a whimper so he turned around to see Patton shaking while covering his ears, "P-patton?"

Roman put a hand on his head, "I'm okay too thanks for asking." He swam over to hug Virgil, "Don't ever go anywhere without telling me okay!? I almost had a panick attack!"

Virgil quickly dodged the hug, "Sorry that I didn't know I needed a body gaurd. I can take care of myself."

Roman crossed his arms, "And yet here you are with an injured tail!"

Virgil swam over to Patton to help calm him down.

Roman rubbed his arm, "Virgil I'm sorry."

Virgil didn't say anything to him, "Patton, look at me, what's the matter?"

Patton looked at him breathing a bit heavily

Virgil started to motion him to breath, "In and out, it's okay, you're alright."

Patton followed his instructions and hugged him.

Virgil gently pushed Patton away gently after a few seconds of hugging, "Come on, let's get you to Logan."

Patton shook his head, "I-I want Janus."

Virgil was confused, "Janus?"

Roman sat down by them, "Janus is two lefts and a right down there."

Virgil didn't look at him or say anything to him. He picked up Patton using the directions Roman gave him.

Roman followed, "What? I don't get a thank you?"

Virgil didn't answer.

"Virgil."

"..."

"Virgil."

"..."

"Virgil!"

"..."

"Virgil!"

"..."

"Virgil! Virgil! Virgil! Virgil! Virgil!"

Patton giggled a bit, "I think the deep sea mer is angry at you."

Roman crossed his arms, "You're not supposed to ignore the pod leader."

Virgil wispered to Patton, "Who made that decision."

Patton giggled and soon saw the door to Janus's pod, he opened it and they all swam in. Patton saw Janus asleep in his favorite spot. He went over and did the one thing Janus hated others doing to him, he was fine with Patton as long as he didn't tell the others about it. Patton booped his nose and smiled.

Janus woke up and hisses at Patton. Once he realized who it was he immediately stopped and hugged him, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Patton hugged him back, "It's okay Jani, it's okay."

Janus looked up at him, "You sure? I know I promised not to hiss at you because of your past. I'm really really really sorry."

Patton rubbed his back, "Ssshhhhh, easy, easy, take a deep breath. It's okay."

Janus did so and relaxed, "Okay, I'm okay."

Virgil didn't go in not wanting to intrude their moment so he stayed outside the pod. He thought about Patton's backstory, "Roman? You told me your backstory, what is Patton's?"

Roman looked at him, "Oh now you talk to me. But you don't want to know about me, you want to know about someone else."

Virgil rolled his eyes, "Oh hush and tell me."

Roman huffed, "Fine, whatever. Patton had a pretty horrifying past." He started out.

Patton heard Roman and looked down having a flashback. He was swimming with his pod going to some place warm so they didn't freeze over winter.

He had gotten distracted by an injured dolphin who was suffocating. The dolphin had a net over him and he couldn't move but whimper sadly.

Patton swam him to the surface so the dolphin could breath, but while doing that, the pod left him behind. He never found them. But the good thing was that the dolphin was safe and he took Patton to a safe place from the cold. The dolphins family was there, and the mother of the dolphin took Patton in.

Patton and the dolphin were playing at the surface not realizing there was a boat for fisherman. The dolphin tried to warn Patton but it was too late. Patton was scooped up by a net and was taken out of the water. He tried to get out but he felt a sharp pain in his lower back. He felt so drowsy he passed out in the net.

The fisherman took him on board and started to cut off his fins. The fisherman were so excited about the mermaid, they forgot to put the boat in park and it drove into the near by rocks.

The boat tipped and Patton slipped out back into the ocean. The current took him to a near by shore but it took him to a very busy highway. When Patton woke up, he couldn't cover his ears from his body still being paralyzed.

He cried hearing the very loud roars of the traffic. The river he was in only made it worse, he couldn't go anywhere, the current was too strong to get back into the ocean, and the traffic echoed through the river.

Patton saw a light shine onto him and he jumped, it was dark when he met Logan and Thomas. It has been almost three days since Patton drifted into the river, he was so scared he tried to get away but he was so weak, hungry, and lost blood from the fisherman cutting his fins.

Thomas did his best to calm him and put some headphones on him putting on quiet calming music for him. Patton couldn't hear them, but he knew that from the looks on their faces, it wasn't good.

Patton had a deep cut on the side of his tail, Logan had taken out the blade that had caused it, it was the same blade the fisherman used to cut his fins. After thirty minutes of trying to patch it up so he could stop bleeding, they finally get him to the truck so they could take him to the hospital.

Patton was still jumpy but the music helped calm him down a bit. He's been there ever since.

Patton heard snapping and shook a bit looking at Janus who was snapping in his face.

"Are you okay?" Janus had a worried look as he put his hands on his arms.

Patton looked around then nodded, "Yeah... Sorry..." He looked down.

Janus pulled him into a hug, "Hey, it's okay, nice and easy."

Patton hugged him taking a deep breath, "I'm okay, thank you Janus."

Janus put their heads together, "Of course Patton, anything for you."
